St. John the Baptist Catholic Church - Joliet, Illinois A Franciscan Parish/ Una Parroquia Franciscana St. The parish is staffed by the Franciscan Friars of the Sacred Heart Province. All are welcome!

John the Baptist Parish is a lively bi-cultural Catholic parish founded in 1852 in the heart of Joliet, Illinois. Together, people of all ages pray, learn and grow as we work together to make the inner-city Joliet community a better place by serving the poor and standing up for the rights of immigrants. We invite you and your family to learn more and to become a part of our community as we live the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the modern world in the Franciscan tradition. La Parroquia de San Juan Bautista es una parroquia católica bi-cultural, fundada en 1852 en el centro de Joliet, Illinois. En conjunto, la gente de todas las edades rezamos, aprendemos y crecemos a medida que trabajamos juntos para hacer de la comunidad del centro de la ciudad de Joliet un lugar mejor, que sirve a los pobres y defiende los derechos de los inmigrantes. La parroquia es atendida por los Frailes Franciscanos. The gathering for the Religious Education helpers that was scheduled for tonight is cancelled due to a power outage.
