LET US HOLD FAST & DRAW NEAR
This Sunday we continued our LET US series from the book of Hebrews and were reminded of an incredible truth: because of Jesus, we don’t have to run from God in our weakness—we can draw near.
Jesus is our great High Priest. He understands our weaknesses. He helps us when we are tempted. He offered Himself for our sins, obtained eternal redemption, opened the way into God’s presence, and continues to intercede for us.
That changes how we respond when we struggle:
My weakness is not a reason to withdraw—it is a reason to draw near.
We can hold fast because Jesus is faithful, and we can draw near because through Him the way to God is open.
At the throne of grace we find exactly what we need:
Mercy — through Jesus, we do not receive the judgment our sins deserve.
Grace — through Jesus, we receive the favor, strength, and help we could never deserve or earn.
So whatever you are facing this week, don’t stay away. Hold fast. Draw near. There is mercy and grace for you in Jesus.
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:16
Here are some of the main thoughts from Sunday’s message. We pray they encourage you throughout the week!
