One Day All Will Know

Isaiah 48:22
“There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.”

Isaiah 57:20-21
“But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.”

There are many who want the pleasures of sin without the consequences thereof; they desire to be able to sin and not suffer for it. But Scripture is loud and clear on the subject.

Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

There is death, and you cannot have death without suffering. Death and suffering are the byproducts of sin.
Why do some atheists become an atheist?
My answer is, if one can convince themself that there is no God, then in theory they have convinced themself that there is no such thing as sin. For them, if there is no such thing as sin, then that means there must be no punishment, and I guess no suffering. The Bible says, there is no peace to the wicked. The word wicked speaks of one guilty of sin against God. I am guilty of sin but I have been forgiven, I have been justified through faith in Jesus Christ as my saviour!
I am not alone, there are many in the family of God who can testify the same.

Romans 5:1
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:”

In the day of the Lord there will be talk of peace and safety, but that peace and safety will prove to be false. In that day there will be sudden destruction.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-3
“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”

I am glad that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour. I am at peace!

Can Jesus Be Hid?

Mark 7:24 - “And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.”

There were junctures in our Lord’s ministry in which He sought to conceal what He did and who He was. During this period, after Jesus healed or performed a miracle He would request, “tell no man”. Once He requested to His disciples, after He was transfigured before them (Mark 9), that “they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man be risen from the dead”.

But how does one hide Jesus? Can He be hidden? In our verse Jesus had traveled within the borders of Tyre and Sidon. He went “into a house, and would have no man know it”. Then we read, “but He could not be hid”.

A Gentile woman very humbly comes unto Jesus to secure healing for her daughter. How did she find out who Jesus was? As far as we know this was the first time Jesus had come to Tyre and Sidon. Somebody had to know and somebody had to tell it! Back in Mark 3:8 we may find part of the answer.

Mark 3:8 - “And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.”

This verse indicates that sometime back there was a great multitude from different parts that “came unto Him” and heard Jesus. There was some from Tyre and Sidon in the multitude. No doubt someone from Tyre and Sidon heard and believed, and went back to Tyre and Sidon and told this woman about Jesus. Then when she heard Christ had come to her town, her faith in Christ brought her unto Him for the healing of her daughter.

Can one hide their faith in Jesus? Can His person and presence in our heart be hid?

I think I should also ask, why would we even attempt to hide Him when we know that He is the hope that all the world needs.
