We’ve had a busy start to the school year and such a fun group of families we are loving getting to know more and more. Next up on our teacher intros in our Pre-K 5 day and Pre-K PM teacher Mrs. Furr. Known for her patience, kindness, and fun classroom environment, Mrs. Furr brings love and energy to everything she does with her kiddos.

Here are some fun facts about Mrs. Furr:

It’s her 4th year teaching at JCP
Mrs. Furr’s kids and husband all attended JCP
She is a proud OSU alumni (Go Bucks)
Her favorite color is anything neon, the brighter the better
She loves the water and sunshine ☀️
She has coached swim at Northridge and Johnstown for the last 13 years but is stepping back this year to be a full time sports mom- in the stands at the courts or fields is her favorite place ❤️
Here are the things that make her happy- teaching prek kiddos, a good coffee, 2000’s music, concerts, sunsets, and time with family/friends 🫶🏼

We had a fantastic first week of school! We are so thankful for all of our wonderful families and we are thankful that God has brought our paths together! Continuing with getting to know our staff now we’d like to introduce Mrs. Tracy Fox. Our very own Mary Poppins. Tracy’s energy and love of teaching are just a few things that make her great! Here are some fun facts about Mrs. Fox!

- she loves being a mom first and foremost to her 2 boys!
- her favorite things are family time and watching the boys sporting events 🏀⚽️🏃‍♂️
- she LOVES all things Disney
- she likes to spend her time going to live events like concerts, musicals, and sports.
- her favorite color is orange
- she can never pass up pizza or donuts
- she enjoys going to the movies
- and mostly she loves being a teacher

Our next teacher intro is Ms. Amanda Durant. We’ve had the pleasure of having her teach in our school over the past 4 years. Ms. Durant is so engaged and fun with the kids especially while doing read-alouds and being their comfort spot if they are having a bad day. Her are some fun facts about Ms. Durant!

-She loves watching soccer with her boys (especially if they are playing)
-Taking Jeep drives with her husband
-She enjoys working out with friends and getting coffee after
-Baking cookies makes her happy
-Finally she loves a good family game night

We had an amazing first day for our open house! We loved seeing everyone and catching up. We are so ready to get our year started with all of our little friends.

We will be starting our staff introductions this week. First up is Amanda Chapman. Amanda is starting her 7th year at JCP and her first year as Assistant Director. We love her and her focus on making sure the kids have great experiences and she keeps us all super organized. Here are some fun facts about Mrs. Chapman.

She is an ambidextrous lefty
You can always find her at a dance competition or soccer field supporting her 2 kids, Charlie and Jackson
She’s a mountain vacation type of girlie
Her hobbies include hiking and running, but her favorite things are organizing and painting
She loves horses
Her entire family is made up of JCP alumni

Mrs. Chapman is ready for a great school year and making memories with everyone!

One of our sweetest traditions at JCP!
🍋💛

Today was our 5th Annual Lemonade Stand. Our 3-year-old and 4-year-old students were so excited to welcome friends and family to our little school and serve up some delicious lemonade!

Our 3-year-old class raised $488.61, and our 4-year-old class raised $85.00, bringing our grand total to $573.61! 🎉

All proceeds will be donated to the Johnstown-Northridge Food Pantry.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our kiddos and for your generosity—you truly helped make a difference! 💛
