I know that a number of you have been asking and questioning if we were going to have Worship tomorrow, January 25th. The answer to that is now much more clear. NO……we are cancelling worship for tomorrow.

It appears that the forecast for the snow has now changed back to beginning tomorrow at around 5:00 am. It will be continuing throughout the day and into Monday morning. Accumulations could be rather high, so please ensure each other are safe and have the necessary resources to stay snug in your homes. The pulpit supply person who was to serve tomorrow is coming down from Glens Falls and the supply pianist is coming from Saratoga Springs, so it is also not fair or safe for them to drive down to serve us with the predictions I am seeing.

I will be sending out another email either later tonight or tomorrow morning. That email will have a link to a short condensed service for you to all access and listen to at your leisure. It is important to me that the Word of God be shared with you in some manner, so please look for that link and tune in when you can.

We are pleased to announce the election of the Rev. Yehiel Curry as presiding bishop of the ELCA! Bishop-elect Curry was elected on the fifth ballot with 70.34% of the vote.

Ever-living God, strengthen and sustain Bishop-elect Curry, that with patience and understanding he may love and care for your people. Grant that together we may follow in the way of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Results from the first Ecclesial ballot for our next Presiding Bishop. No election was fulfilled at this time. The next ballot will occur later today.

The ELCA Churchwide Assembly has completed the first ecclesiastical ballot for ELCA presiding bishop. There is no election. Please hold the Assembly in prayer as they discern together the future leadership of our church. Come, Holy Spirit. We had a wonderful worship experience at Grace Lutheran Church on Sunday. A wonderful turnout of folks to share in worship together.
We renewed our commitment to our Food Bank ministry during the service as we dedicated our new signage and received a wonderful supply of food from those in attendance.
