We, the Johnston Gurdwara congregation (Mr. Kishan Dhawan, Dev Gidvani, Chandarpal Singh, and Narinder Singh) made a trip to Omaha today to recite Sukhmani Sahib at the invitation of Monika Arora (center) and her father, Col. Balwant Arora (second from left). We joined Monika’s family for this picture. Monika’s husband, Michael Bodensteiner is behind her to the right, her son Nikhil is between Mr. Dhawan and Chandarpal Singh. Her daughter, Eva, is kneeling on the right. The family displayed remarkable generosity, hospitality, and humility.

Urbandale High School students along with their teacher, Boris Bachmann (on the left in blue shirt) at the Johnston Gurdwara Sahib. The students asked some tough questions, for example, the concept of heaven and hell, whether Sikhs believed in evolution, and what happens to us after death. A bright bunch of students and very, very respectful.
