We had to add an 8 AM service on Easter not just because we're out of chairs or parking, but because our volunteers were parking down the road and getting bussed in! We welcomed 1,126 people across 4 services, and 51 people accepted Jesus Christ. Truly amazing.

Because if you can be excluded from a church for an action, obviously you can't join that church while you're already doing it. So like First Corinthians 5, Paul's like, you have sexual moral sins that even the pagans don't do. And then he says at the end of the First Corinthians 5, purge the evil person from among you. We don't judge outsiders, but Paul says it is our job to judge insiders, so to speak. So I would say it's not explicit, but it's implicit. Joseph was faithful, forgotten, and stuck in prison. But God was not absent. What looked like delay was part of God’s design.

In this service, we look at Joseph’s life in prison and connect his suffering to Jesus on the cross. Joseph was forgotten by men, but Jesus was forsaken so we could be remembered by God.

As we take communion, we remember the Savior who entered our suffering, carried our sin, and turned the evil of the cross into the good of our salvation.
