Our Saviour Lutheran Church will host Rainforest Falls Vacation Bible School from July 20 - July 24. These items will help us supply stations like “Imagination Station,” “Wild Games,” and “Bible Adventures!”

Pentecost 2026
We celebrated the gift of the Holy Spirit by wearing red, with singing and procession into the church. Pentecost was also the day four young people were confirmed.

Special thanks to Pastor Jim DuMond. These young people started their confirmation journey with him and then finished with Pastor Chris.

And thank you to all those who helped with the Pentecost Tea reception after worship.

Augustus Pennell was baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Affectionately known as Auggie, this young man was ready to be baptized. Auggie kept reaching for the water in the font! Auggie is the son of Travis & Janeen Pennell and is the little brother to his sister, Sophia. Serving as sponsors were Nicole Odom & Jay W. Pennell.

Children from the congregation came forward to fill the baptismal font with cups of water signifying that out of the many, we are made one in Jesus.

Thanks be to God for the gift of Holy Baptism!

Mother’s Day Tea ☕️

Pastor Chris & Gemayel were invited by Lu Mattson to an elegant Mother’s Day Tea at Independence Village in Johnson City. There were finger sandwiches and raspberry tarts…

Even Pastor Chris had his pinky raised drinking tea from real china!

“That’s the best story I ever heard!”

One of the Parent’s Day Out students was excited to hear the story of the Prophet Daniel from the Old Testament, learning how God protected Daniel through many parts of his life, even among the lions! 🦁

Pastor Chris & Gemayel share a biblical story each Wednesday morning for the Parents Day Out program.

We want to thank everyone that helped out with our church clean up date. People got busy cleaning closets, organizing the library, clearing out the attic space, and clearing brush outside.

One more spring cleaning event will be happening later in May, we'll keep you posted. P.S.: If you have any photos from inside on clean up day post them in the comments!

This weekend Walter Schuppan and Gemayel Heinold will be in retreat at the Tennessee Lutheran Via de Cristo. Please keep them and their families in prayer. They return home on Sunday evening.

Almighty God, support these pilgrims, Walter and Gemayel, as they walk with you this weekend. Open their hearts to your love and to the guidance of your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Azariah Lee Fernando-Schuppan and Ahleigha Vivien Fernando-Schuppan were baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

Affectionately known as Ezi & Ali, these young ladies were claimed as beloved children of God. Ezi & Ali are the daughters of Walter Schuppan & Michael Fernando. Serving as sponsors were Austin & Anika Burnett.

Children from the congregation came forward to fill the baptismal font with individual cups of water signifying that out of the many, we are made one in Christ Jesus. Ezi & Ali received gifts from the congregation showing them the joy we have in the Lord.
