This Sunday, parents and leaders are invited to gather for our second KidsThrive Leader and Parent Equipping Lunch in Uptown Auditorium! We will have round-table discussions about sharing how we can apply theology to all of life and how we can focus on giving God glory as we lead and parent kids.

Perimeter Kids and Students have boxes to fill for Operation Christmas Child! Anyone is welcome to grab one or more to fill for a child and return by November 16 to any of the carts near our check-in areas. Let’s help bring the good news of the gospel to children and their families all around the world!

49 Kindergarten-5th grade groups launch this Sunday, September 7! We are so thankful to the many volunteers committed to partnering with parents to disciple kids to follow Jesus. Will you join us in praying that God will work in and through KidsThrive this year?

The longest list in the church is in progress (this idea is found in the book, Show Them Jesus by Jack Klumpenhower)! Last Sunday, our kids learned how Jesus gave us the Lord's Supper in a way for us to remember His sacrifice on the cross for us. A 1st grade group added the above point to their list. Yes! Jesus is better than anything else because He gave us the Lord's Supper! He wants us to not only remember what He did on the cross, but also to have communion with Him and other believers as well!

This year our groups are working to help us create the longest list in the church! Every week, after going through the lesson, the kids are challenged to add something to the "Jesus is better than anything else because..." list, based on what they learned through the assigned Bible lesson. With this list, we want to challenge the groups to consider the work and person of Jesus! This idea is found in the book, Show Them Jesus by Jack Klumpenhower. Last Sunday, our kids learned how Jesus responded in kindness when Mary anointed Him in an act of worship, even while one of his disciples responded in a very rude way. A 2nd grade group added the above point to their list. Yes! Jesus is better than anything else because He was kind to Mary, and He is always kind to all of us!

We ❤️ our volunteers! Our volunteer spotlight this week is Michael Overcash, a 5th grade discipleship leader. Our KidsThrive leaders serve during the 9AM hour from September to May and build relationships with a group of children in the same grade. They get to know the children while using a planner and provided curriculum/supplies to lead the group in Bible study, life application, fun activities, prayer, and scripture/catechism memory.

We ❤️ our volunteers! Our volunteer spotlight this week is Kathryn Mann, a Got Truth Administrator. Our KidsThrive administrators serve during the 9AM hour from September to May under a flexible schedule. They work at our Got Truth tables where students come to recite their memory verses, books of the Bible, and catechisms. Administrators will either encourage more practice or approve a successful recitation and award appropriate prizes. Some of our administrators also help us welcome families at our check-in locations with friendly and smiling faces!
