alth officer is in residence for all children’s camps and a doctor in Lewiston is on call should the camp need a doctor. A water safety instructor (W.S.I.) is on the beach whenever children are in or near the water. A full time cook and a staff of teenage volunteers work in the kitchen and provide kid-friendly meals for the campers. Camp life includes: Bible study, singing, swimming, organized sports, and various other outlets for the energy and creative expression of the campers.

🏕️ Camp Wakanda Work Camp – All Hands on Deck! 🔨

Camp Wakanda is waking up for the summer—and we could really use some extra hands to get it ready.

If you’ve ever been to camp (or just love the idea of it), this is one of those weekends that feels good to be part of. We’ll be working together to open up the lower campus—and maybe even the waterfront if we’re ambitious enough.

No special skills needed. Seriously. If you can show up, pitch in, and maybe laugh a little along the way, you’re exactly who we need.

We’ll be tackling things like:
🧹 Cleaning
🎨 Painting
🌱 Yard work
🔨 General fix-it projects
…and whatever else camp throws at us

Come for a few hours or stay the whole weekend—either way, it matters.

Winter Family Camp - February 6–8, 2026

Winter at Camp Wakanda hits differently. Nestled in Northern Michigan, Winter Camp is a chance to unplug, slow down, and enjoy camp in a quieter, more meaningful way. Think snow-covered trails, fresh winter air, and space to actually breathe and reconnect.

Days are full of fun winter activities, time outside, and relaxed moments inside the lodge. Meals are shared, conversations come easily, and friendships—new and old—grow naturally throughout the weekend.

Whether Camp Wakanda is already a special place for you or you’re curious to experience it for the first time, Winter Family Camp is about making memories, building community, and soaking in the peaceful magic of camp in the winter.
