Daily Devotional - A Sacrifice of Thanksgiving

"He who offers a sacrifice of Thanksgiving honors Me." Psalm 50:23

Today, offer the Father a sacrifice of thanksgiving. Even if everything is awry and you're feeling discouraged, Praise Him anyway. How do you do so?

Deliberately look for reasons to be grateful even in the most difficult of your circumstances. Review all the ways He's helped you in the past. Rejoice in His character, His love for you, and the salvation He's freely given you. List all the blessings you can think of which are yours in Christ. Personalize the promises the Lord has made you in His word. And ask the Spirit of God to bring His truth to life as you seek to exalt Him throughout the day.

As you consider the great blessings the Father has given, you will certainly find your heart full of thanks and praise, not only for what God has done for you, but for what He will continue to do in the future. So set your heart to worship God and expect Him to honor you for exalting His name.

Father, you have blessed me with life, salvation, and best of all, you're abiding presence. Help me glorify You today and everyday, amen. Every Day in His Presence

Daily Devotional - Because He's Given

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father. James 1:17

Today, be grateful for what you have. It may not seem like much --- and it may not appear to be enough at the moment. But give the Lord thanks anyway. Why? Because He is God and deserves your praise. Apart from His goodness, you wouldn't have any of it. Deuteronomy 8:18 is clear: Remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth." It's crucial for you to acknowledge He is the source of all your provision.

Also remember: "He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish (Proverbs 11:28). In other words, what matters is not how much you have, but how obedient you are with what's been entrusted to you. You may be poor according to the world standards but wealthy by God's because of your faithfulness to Him.

So today, no matter how much you have, praise the Father for His provision. And remember: "They who seek the Lord should not be in want one of any good thing" (Psalm 34:10).

Lord, thank you for all you've given me. I know you will provide all that I need, amen. Every Day in His Presence

Daily Devotional - A Spirit of Praise

"True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth." John 4:23

During worship services and in your own quiet times with the Father, do you connect with Him? Do you sense His nearness? Perhaps you see people exhalting God, but what they appear to feel escapes you. You wonder if you can truly have that deeply personal experience of His presence and love.

But understand that worship is a spiritual matter. Just as you can acquire facts about God without truly knowing Him, you can likewise go through the motions of adoring Him and never really bring Him glory.

Genuine praise comes from a heart submitted to the Father you cannot work it up. In fact, Paul proceeds the command "speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord" (Ephesians 5:19) with "be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). In other words, praise flows from those who are Spirit-filled. You must allow God to have control.

Friend, if you desire to truly worship, don't try to work it up. Yield yourself to God. Celebrate Him with your life. Undoubtedly, the praises will flow.

Lord, show me how to genuinely worship You. I give You my life show me Your glory, amen. Every Day in His Presence

Daily Devotional - Our Daily Needs

My God shall supply all your need according to His riches and Glory by Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:19

God is your all-wise, all-powerful, and all-loving heavenly Father who loves you so much, he sacrificed His Son for your Eternal salvation. After having given so much, you can certainly trust Him to provide everything you need to live from day to day.

Friend, it is God's responsibility to supply what you require. Your duty is to trust Him, obey Him, and keep your focus on Him not on what you perceive is missing from your life.

Unfortunately, when we shift our attention to what we don't have, we typically try to fulfill our needs on our own. But we pursue is never as good as what the Father has for us, and is usually a sure path to sin.

Therefore, trust the Lord to be the source of everything you need. Keep your eyes on Him. Whether through opportunities to work, the generosity of others, or His miraculous supply, God not only can but will make His provision available to you. It is His character to be faithful---so have faith He will come through for you.

Father, you have been so faithful! I will continue to trust in You for all my needs, amen. Every Day in His Presence

Daily Devotional - Erase the Messages

"Neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin." John 8:11

The woman must have been terrified. According to the law, she was to be stoned to death, for she had been caught in adultery. Did Jesus condemn her? No. He simply told her to move forward and leave her past behind. But often that's easier said than done.

This is because there are constantly messages that are playing in our minds--- reminding us of past mistakes and the unkind ways others have judged us. To turn off these painful thought patterns that drag us down, we must have a close, personal relationship with Jesus and allow Him to teach us who we really are.
Friend, it's time to move forward and leave your past behind--- taking action against those destructive messages. When old thoughts arise causing you to trust God less, despise yourself, or doubt that He has a future plan for you, decide, "I'll not have any more of that!" Make the choice to accept what Jesus says about you and trust His truth will set you free.

Thank you, God, that I can claim full freedom and victory over my past. Help me turn off destructive messages permanently by replacing them with Your truth, amen. Every Day in His Presence

Daily Devotional - Jesus is Your Friend

The Lord was pleased to make you his own.
1 Samuel 12:22

When you feel isolated, forsaken, misunderstood, and unwanted, remember the great love Jesus has for you. He is always drawing you into His presence to remind you how He cares for you.

How can you know this for sure? Because that's been His character throughout history. In the Old Testament, the Lord was constantly reaching out to His people, revealing Himself to them. He desires companionship, fellowship, and communion with those who will respond to Him in like manner.

In the New Testament, we find that Jesus knew what it was to be lonely, but he also knew what it was to be comforted even in the face of Abandonment (John 16:32).

Friend, the Lord is intensely concerned for you and He wants you to know with certainty that He is closer to you than the very breath you breathe. Though you may feel lonely at times, you are never actually alone. Jesus is one friend you will always have---who will be with you always--- because He is "the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8).

Lord Jesus, thank You for the comfort I feel knowing I am never alone, You are with me always, amen. Every Day in His Presence
