From yesterday’s message at service:

Like this turtle, we come in contact with people almost everyday that need someone to slow down, stop and “flip them over” so they can get going again.

Sometimes, like the turtle that Pastor Rob spoke about in his message, it’s as serious as life and death (the turtle died due to exposure in the sun as he couldn’t flip himself back over).

”Flipping someone back over again” has many useful connotations:

- It might be an encouraging word.
- It may be sharing your testimony of God’s love & goodness in your life.
- It might be taking time to pray with them.
- It may mean helping them with a task that is overwhelming.
- It may be sharing some extra money to help someone pay a bill.
- It may mean sharing the gospel.

In scripture, Jesus was a very “active” person, but he wasn’t a “busy” person. In other words, he moved through the crowds slowly and observationally. He wasn’t on his own schedule, he was on the Father’s. In this view, an active person is being led by the spirit and a busy person is following his own schedule.

One way brings God’s kingdom to earth. The other way brings our kingdom to earth.

If we go slow, we are more apt to recognize the people that are stuck on their back. Let God use you to flip them over so they can get going again.
