Dear Friends in Christ,

My name is Karla Alanis, and I serve as a coordinator for the Lord’s Cupboard in Jewell. I would like to take a moment to thank you all for your ongoing support in keeping this pantry running.

Times are tough, and every month, more families in our community face financial struggles. Right now, we are serving between 60 and 69 families in the South Hamilton area. Although we deeply appreciate all in-kind donations, we are currently facing financial challenges of our own.

Cash donations are vital because they allow us to purchase food and essential toiletries for our community. While we can get many items at a low cost through the Food Bank of Iowa, there are many other products we must purchase elsewhere. Additionally, we provide each family with a $45 voucher for Jewell Market to help cover other necessities.

Due to the increasing number of families seeking help, our financial resources are being stretched thin. The Lord’s Cupboard is in need of monetary donations to continue serving our community. I am confident that, together, we can meet this need.
