Praying the Rosary before Mass helps quiet the mind, focus on Christ, and prepare the heart for the Holy Eucharist. Would you consider leading the Rosary before Mass on Saturday evening or Sunday morning?

Several people are already interested, and we would like to create a list of volunteers so a schedule can be organized. If you are interested, please call the St. Athanasius Parish Office at 319-827-6682 and let us know your contact information and which Mass time you prefer. Join us at St. Athanasius on Sunday, September 13th, for a delicious breakfast and great fellowship, hosted by the St. Athanasius Parish Society!

Breakfast will be served after the 8:00 AM Mass until 11:00 AM, along with a Bake Sale. Both the breakfast and bake sale are free-will donations. Breakfast will be in the school cafeteria.

Want to donate bake sale items? Items may be dropped off in the Parish Center after the 6:00 PM Mass or brought to the kitchen after 6:00 AM on Sunday before the event. Bring your family, enjoy some breakfast, and help support our parish community!

Wishing all of our St. Athanasius parish families and community a safe, restful, and blessed holiday weekend!

As we take time to rest and enjoy family and friends, let us also give thanks to God for the gift of work, the talents He has given each of us, and the opportunity to use those gifts in service to others.

May God bless the work of our hands, renew our spirits, and fill this weekend with gratitude, peace, and time well spent with those we love.

You're invited to enjoy sweet treats and fellowship at Donut Sunday on Sunday, August 30, immediately following the 8:00 a.m. Mass in the St. Athanasius School Cafeteria.

Youth Faith Formation (YFF) begins Wednesday, September 9, at 6:15 pm!

YFF is open to students in Kindergarten through 10th grade and provides a welcoming opportunity for young people to grow in their Catholic faith, deepen their relationship with Christ, and discover how to live their faith each day. As children grow, their understanding of faith grows with them. YFF helps young people build a strong foundation, make their Catholic faith their own, and develop friendships within our parish community.

Confirmation preparation begins in 9th grade and is part of the YFF program,
helping students deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith
as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
