The Interim Mass Schedule will be in place from July 15, 2026 through January 15, 2027. This interim schedule will provide an opportunity to thoughtfully evaluate the needs of the pastorate and discern the need for any further adjustments.

We encourage everyone to approach these coming months with openness, prayer, and a willingness to allow the schedule time to work before conclusions are drawn. We are grateful for the patience, flexibility, and prayerful support of our parish communities during this transition.

Praying the Rosary at noon Iowa time.

Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was passing by.

"Jesus, son of David, have pity on me!" The crowd told him to be quiet. Jesus stopped, and asked the question: "What do you want me to do for you?"

These words came back: "Master, I want to see." He could have asked for healing of his eyes specifically. But, he asked for sight.

Christ asks the same question of you today.

Most of us do not know how to answer. We have grown so used to our blindness that the question feels too large.
Start with Bartimaeus' three words. Master, I want to see.

In 596, Pope Gregory the Great sent forty Benedictine monks to evangelize a remote pagan island at the edge of the known world: Britain. Halfway there, terrified of what awaited them, the monks turned back and begged the Pope to release them. He refused. Their leader, Augustine, eventually landed in Kent, met King Æthelberht under an oak tree, and within a year baptized the king himself. He became the first Archbishop of Canterbury.

Every Christian community in the British Isles traces back to that frightened band of monks who almost gave up.
