🪨⚔️ Heroes vs. Villains: David vs. Goliath

📖 Bible Story: First Book of Samuel 17 — David and Goliath
🌟 Take Away Point: God is bigger than any giant!
💪 Life Truth: I can have confidence knowing God is with me.
🧠 Memory Verse: Epistle to the Romans 12:21: “Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.”

Everyone was afraid of Goliath 😨—except David. David knew that the battle belonged to God! 🪨⚔️ Even though David was small and Goliath was huge, God gave David courage and victory. This story reminds us that with God on our side, we can face any “giant” in our lives. 💥🙌

🎯 1. Knock Down the Giant Game
Stack cups or boxes to make a “giant.”
Let kids toss soft balls or bean bags to knock it down.
💬 Each time they throw, say together:
“God is bigger than any giant!”

Call out situations:
A scary test 📚
Someone being mean 😠
Feeling left out 😔
Ask:
👉 “Is this giant bigger, or is God bigger?”

💪 3. Confidence Prayer

Stand tall together and pray:
“God, help us remember You are bigger than every fear and problem. Give us confidence because You are always with us.” 🙏

Today, kids learned about Stephen bravely standing up for Jesus even when others were angry with him (Acts 6:8–7:60).

Stephen trusted God, told others about Jesus, and showed forgiveness even during a very difficult time. 💛

God’s people were trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army 😨, but God made a way where there seemed to be no way! 🌊🙌 Moses trusted God, obeyed Him, and God showed His power by parting the sea. This story reminds us that no problem, fear, or “villain” is bigger than God! 💥

🌿✨ Children’s Church Family Follow-Up 🌿✨

📖 Bible Passage: Gospel of Matthew 6:25–34
🌟 Main Point: Seek first the Kingdom of God.
💛 Heart Focus: Less of me… more of Him (“Me must become He”).
🙌 Truth: Jesus is the only one who can fully satisfy our hearts.
🧠 Memory Verse: Gospel of John 17:3 “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

Jesus teaches us not to worry about our needs—God knows and cares for us. 🐦🌸 We often try to fill our hearts with things like toys, success, or attention—but those never fully satisfy. Only Jesus can truly fill our hearts and give us lasting peace and joy. 💛

Use a cup and fill it with different things (small toys, rocks, etc.), then try to pour water in.

Go outside and look for birds or flowers. 🌸
