What a privilege it has been to do life with these absolutely amazing young people. We have shared so many moments together. We have laughed until we could not breathe, cried through difficult seasons, celebrated victories big and small, and walked side by side through struggles and uncertainty. We have watched God answer prayers, grow faith, restore hearts, and shape these students into the young men and women they are today.

Student ministry is so much more than Wednesday nights and events. It is relationships, discipleship, conversations at the altar, bus rides, late night talks at camp, prayer circles, worship together, and simply showing up for one another through every season of life. Watching these graduates grow in their walk with Christ has truly been one of the greatest joys and privileges of ministry.

Yesterday we had the honor of celebrating our 2026 Graduates.

We started the morning with our Graduate Breakfast, honoring our graduates, their families, and the people who have spiritually invested in them along the way. Later in the service, we recognized these students for their spiritual walk and growth in Christ.

None of these students are perfect, but every one of them has been changed by the grace of Jesus, and that is worth celebrating.

Tonight was Senior Share Night, and several of our graduating seniors took time to share wisdom, encouragement, lessons learned, and advice with the rest of our students. I am incredibly proud of this group and the legacy of faithfulness they are leaving behind for the younger students who are following in their footsteps. Here are a few highlights and memorable thoughts from what they shared tonight:

Layne: Stay focused on God

Aubri: Church is your family - they will always love you.

Suzanne: it’s real when we come together - don’t over complicate your faith - you don’t have to have it all figured out. Don’t underestimate what God is doing in your life.

Madi: Don’t be afraid to talk to someone. You have people here who love you. Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable.

Kaylie: Go on the trips, especially mission trips - they will change you.

Sam: Appreciate what you have here. A community that values you regardless of what you bring with you.

Brylie: Go on all the trips. Pay attention to what Paul says… (my personal favorite😂)

Jackson: You don’t know who is going to look up to you - remember your identity is in Christ, not yourself. You are surrounded by people who care about you.

Ansley: Connect with the younger group in youth and serve the kids in the church.

This Sunday and Wednesday, stop by the vestibule/foyer and take a moment to encourage one of our graduates as they step into this next season of life.

Here’s what to do:
✍️ Highlight your favorite Bible verse
💬 Write a short note of encouragement, prayer, or advice in the margins
❤️ Help remind our seniors that they are surrounded by a church family that loves them and is praying for them

Our prayer is that years from now, these graduates will open these Bibles and be reminded of the people who poured into their lives and pointed them to Jesus.

Faith is kind, talented, and beautiful, and we are so proud of all she does. She represents our student ministry so well, and we’re thankful for the way she shines both on and off the stage!

Students aren’t always on ball fields… sometimes they’re on golf courses!

Had a blast chasing Kate and Kaydee around the course (and yes, driving the golf cart is always a win). These girls are seriously talented!

Afterward, they treated me to dinner, and we even got to see Kam out there making the big bucks at the Roost!

Love getting to spend time with our students doing what they love.
