A few weeks ago at Calvary Baptist Church Jesup, Salem Bond publicly professed through believer’s baptism to the world that she belongs to the Lord Jesus. Salem has peace with God through a relationship with Jesus. Her call to be saved began a while back as the Spirit of God used family members to teach her the truths in God’s Word. At the close of one night’s service during Vacation Bible School, she surrendered to Jesus her life. We are so proud of you, Salem! Tonight at Calvary Baptist Church Jesup Baptist Men our very own, Big Mike Roach, spoke to our men. After a delicious meal of ribs, Big Mike shared his personal testimony. When u think of the difference between the numbers 47 and 49, you calculate 2. Wrong. The difference between 47 and 49 is the difference between life and death. A Word for the Week, September 7th. Labor is a gift from God to man. Rest is also a gift from God to man. God wants us to work yet take necessary breaks at the appropriate time. I pray we balance the two gifts as God desires to maximize our ministries on Earth.

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Billy W. Miller. A celebration of his life will be 11 AM Monday, September 7, 2026 at Rinehart Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

Last Lord’s Day, Calvary Baptist Church Jesup honored the ministry of Ron Wasdin. The Deacon Body of Calvary Jesup wanted to distinguish the service of Ron with the title of Deacon Emeritus. Ron served as a dedicated deacon for 36 years. He and his late wife, Sally, served the church together in many ways. In the picture, deacon Mike Highsmith presented Ron a plaque stating the church’s admiration and gratefulness for his service. Thank you, Ron! We love you.
