Before you go to sleep tonight, thank God for the people He has placed in your life.

One of the greatest gifts God gives us is not just opportunities, blessings, or resources.

Sometimes it’s people.

The truth is, when people come into your life, they don’t just bring their bodies—they bring their spirit.

Some people drain you.
Some people discourage you.
Some people pull you away from God’s purpose.

But then there are those rare people who seem to carry the presence of God with them.

You feel stronger after talking to them.
They point you back to Jesus.
They challenge you when you’re wrong and encourage you when you’re weary.
They’re the people you want to call during your best days and your worst days.

Moses had Aaron and Hur. When his hands grew tired in battle, they stood beside him and held them up.

David had Jonathan. While others were threatened by David’s calling, Jonathan encouraged him and helped him trust God’s plan for his life.

If you’re blessed, you’ll have a handful of people like that throughout your lifetime.

People who help carry your burdens.
People who strengthen your faith.
People who remind you who God is when life gets hard.

Don’t take those people for granted.

Honor them.
Treasure them.
Pray for them.

Because God often uses people to accomplish what He wants to do in our lives.

And sometimes the evidence of God’s favor isn’t found in what you have—it’s found in who He’s placed beside you.

Before you go to sleep tonight, remember this:

This season is not just about where you are.
It’s about where God is taking you.

Sometimes we become so focused on the pain of the present that we forget God is preparing us for the future.

The truth is, the current version of you may not be ready for everything God has planned.

That’s why He uses seasons to shape us.

Every trial is teaching you something.
Every disappointment is strengthening something.
Every delay is developing something.

Look at Joseph.

God gave him a dream, but the dream wasn’t enough. Joseph needed the process.

The pit taught him humility.
Betrayal taught him faithfulness.
Prison taught him patience.
And by the time he reached the palace, he had become the man the position required.

Had God given Joseph the palace at seventeen, he might have lost everything.
So God used the process to prepare the person.

Maybe that’s what God is doing in your life right now.

What feels like a setback may actually be preparation.
What feels like a delay may actually be development.

So don’t waste this season wishing it away.

God is molding you, shaping you, and preparing you for something greater than you can currently see.

One day you’ll look back and realize the process wasn’t punishment.

It was preparation.

And God knew exactly what He was doing the whole time.

Before you go to sleep tonight, don’t forget that not every voice speaking to you deserves your agreement.

The enemy is a liar by nature.

He will whisper things like:
“You’ll never change.”
“God has forgotten you.”
“You’re too far gone.”
“Just give up.”

But a lie only has power when we choose to believe it.

That’s why Scripture tells us to stand firm and resist the devil.

When temptation comes, God provides strength and a way of escape.
When confusion comes, God provides wisdom.
When weakness comes, God provides grace.

You are not at the mercy of every thought that enters your mind.

You can choose faith over fear.
Truth over lies.
Hope over despair.

Remember, the cross wasn’t just enough to forgive your sins—it was enough to defeat the enemy’s hold on your life.

Jesus already won the victory.

So tonight, stop rehearsing the lies and start remembering the truth.

God is still for you.
God is still with you.
God is still working.

And no attack, temptation, setback, or struggle is greater than the power of Christ within you.

Sleep in peace tonight.

The God who watches over you never sleeps, never loses a battle, and never breaks a promise. Love you!

Look who drove over to the house to hang out this afternoon!

Grandma is here, talking and laughing, and my heart is full. What a reminder that God is still in the miracle-working business. Never take the ordinary moments for granted—sometimes they’re the very answers to prayers you’ve been praying all along.

Before you go to sleep tonight, remember this:

In Genesis 15, God told Abraham to LOOK UP at the stars.
In Genesis 22, God told Abraham to LOOK DOWN at the sand on the seashore.

Why?

Because God knows how to remind you of His promises in every season.

Sometimes faith feels high like the stars.
Other times life feels low like the sand beneath your feet.

There are seasons where you feel hopeful and excited about what God spoke.
And there are seasons where disappointment, delay, and exhaustion try to make you question if it will ever happen.

But the promise did not disappear just because the season changed.

When Abraham looked at the stars, God was reminding him to dream again.
When Abraham looked at the sand, God was reminding him that even in low seasons, he was still surrounded by promise.

So if life feels heavy tonight…
look up.
And if your head hangs low…
look down.

Because God has left reminders everywhere that He has not changed His mind about what He said.

The stars still shine.
The sand is still there.
And God is still faithful.

My little girl graduated from TP Kids today… and somehow I’m now the dad of a middle schooler! Time truly flies.

It feels like just yesterday I was holding her in my arms, overwhelmed and nervous about becoming a dad. Honestly, there are still moments I feel that way. I just pray I’m the father she deserves. I am striving to be the kind of man that helps set the standard for how she should be loved, valued, and treated.

More than anything, I’m trying my best to teach her the Scriptures, point her to Jesus, and remind her that God has a purpose for her life.

People say you only get 18 summers with your kids before adulthood comes knocking. That thought hits a little different today. I only have 6 summers left with her at home. Lord, help me make the most of every moment, every conversation, every truck ride, every prayer, every vacation, and every memory.

So here’s to the next chapter… middle school and youth group, here we come. 🖤
