1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 KJV
"And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lor, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves."
We are glad to announce that Brother Richard Yerby will join us Sunday morning to encourage us in the Lord! With our current circumstance, the virus has basically cut him off from most of his appointments in the states while he is here. We believe God has given us a great responsibility to bless Bro. Richard even more while he is with us.
Bro. Richard has served God faithfully for his entire adult life as a missionary to Japan. He refused to be backed by the traditional missionary boards and denominations, not because he thinks they are wrong, but because he would rather trust God to supply. He is a very humble man, and he told me (Pastor Randy) Monday, "If there are two or three at your church I could encourage, I would be glad to come."
If you will be able to come Sunday, we believe you will be greatly blessed. If not, we will be going live on this page Sunday for y'all to watch from home!
We would like to challenge everyone to earnestly pray about giving to Bro. Richard out of the abundance of your heart, and to "esteem him very highly for his work's sake." If you cannot come Sunday, but still want to give, send us a message with the amount you want to pledge, and we can get him a check from the church.
We know the virus STILL has to be taken seriously, so please do. If you do not feel comfortable getting out, don't. We will try to make sure our people can be a part of our services whether they are present or not.
With all of this said, we love you all and cannot wait to be in full fellowship with everyone in the future!
