He has risen!

Christ Church Jersey City celebrates Easter as Jesus Christ triumphed over death and redeemed us from sin. Jesus Christ, The Son of God, was crucified for the sins of humanity and rose again on the third day, defeating death to live eternally. He gave the gift of eternal life to those who believe in His death and resurrection.

Christ Church celebrates with the community as we declare, “He has risen.”

On Good Friday, Christ Church Jersey City observes the commemoration of the Crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

“God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

The suffering and death of Jesus Christ on the cross represent God’s deep and unending love for humanity.

Thursday of Christ's final week before being crucified and resurrected, Jesus celebrated his final Passover with His disciples. Most notably, that Passover meal (Jesus Christ's Last Supper) was when Jesus washed the feet of His disciples in a display of humility. He then commanded them to do the same for each other. He stated:
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another" (John 13:34).
