LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
APPOINTED TO BELIEVE
Good news is only good to those who accept it. The non-
Jewish people who heard the gospel message rejoiced
and believed. Consequently, those who believed were appointed to eternal life.
A story is told about the mighty ruler of Salzburg who, during his reign from 1612 to 1619, promised a grand tower as a birthday gift to a beautiful lady. Four weeks before her birthday, the count hired several thousand expert masons, bricklayers, and carpenters to fulfill his vow. Laboring night and day without rest, they completed the stronghold just in time for her birthday.
Because he was faithful to his word, the tower still stands in Salzburg, Austria to this day.
How much more will God fulfill His promise to everyone who believes in Him? He is faithful to grant eternal life in heaven to all who trust Him.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
SIN ENSLAVES
History tells us that on June 22, 1772, Lord Mansfield, Chief Justice of the King’s Bench, delivered a famous ruling that effectively eliminated slavery within the British Isles.
Yet, this decision did not touch the brutal reality of slavery in Britain's overseas colonies. Decades later, in 1807, William Wilberforce—deeply inspired by John Newton, the former slave trader turned hymn-writer of "Amazing Grace"—successfully led Parliament to ban the slave trade. Ultimately, it took
until 1833 for the British Empire to pass legislation abolishing slavery entirely.

Earthly laws can break physical chains, but they cannot cure the human heart.

As a result, the effects of sin and moral corruption continue to manifest themselves in the home, the community, and even government.

It is only through the amazing grace of God that we can be truly liberated from the spiritual slavery of sin. This occurs when a person repents, receives the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and follows Him.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
SHARE THE WORD
This Christian woman I know is quite well-off and owns many cars, yet she chooses to ride in a taxi and asks her personal driver to follow the taxi she is in.
She does this intentionally so she can share the Gospel every single
day, even on her way to her office.
She takes every possible opportunity to share the Word
of God in her workplace and with every person God places in her path.
Through this dedication, she has
been able to plant God’s Word in their hearts and lead
many souls to the Lord Jesus.

She is indeed a true harvester for the Lord. God calls each and every one of us to go out and share His Word.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
MORE THAN CONQUERORS

During the reign of Emperor Julian the Apostate, who sought to destroy Christianity, one of his soldiers taunted an abused Christian, mocking, “Where is your
carpenter now?”
The Christian boldly replied, “He is making a coffin for your emperor.”

A few months later, in the year 363, Julian was mortally wounded in battle. Realizing his death was at hand, he dipped his hand into the blood of his wound, threw it
toward heaven, and shouted, “Thou hast conquered, O Galilean!”

This man from Galilee was not just a simple carpenter; He was the Son of God. Whoever receives Him as Lord is promised to be more than a conqueror as well.

No problem can defeat us if Christ is in us.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
LIGHT THAT LEADS TO LIFE
A family once visited a cave in the state of Kentucky. The guide led them through many beautiful and winding subterranean passageways. Suddenly, he turned off all the lights and said, “I’m the only one who knows how to get back to the entrance. If I leave you here, you will probably never find your way out. Anyone lost in this cave
would no doubt go insane within a week because of the oppressive loneliness. Be quiet for a moment and feel the
darkness.”
After about thirty seconds, someone in the group could endure it no longer and cried out, “Turn on the lights! I’m
going crazy!”

In the same way, this world would be lost in darkness without the Light of the World, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Follow Jesus and make Him your guide in this darkened world. He alone can lead you safely through life's uncertainties and bring you into His marvelous light.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
IMITATE THE RIGHT THING.
I remember sitting in a church lobby one Christmas season.
Nearby stood a Christmas tree, where a three-year-old girl
was playing with the ornaments. Wanting to amuse her, I decided to show her a few tricks. I took a small ornament and made it look as though I had swallowed it. Then, I moved my hand behind her neck to make it appear I was pulling
something from it. Finally, I told her to blow on my hands—and presto! The disappeared ornament was
right back in my palm.

The little girl watched in complete amazement. She clapped her hands and begged me to do it again and again. After a while, I stepped away for a moment. When I returned, I was horrified to see her trying to swallow the very same
ornament. She was trying to imitate me, and she easily could
have choked.

As we live our lives, people watch and imitate us. Therefore,
let us follow God’s example, so that when others copy our
actions, they are imitating the right thing.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
LOVE OF MONEY, MISSING HEAVEN

Judas worked with Jesus and witnessed all the miracles
He performed. Among the disciples, he was one of the
most trusted because he served as the treasurer. A finance officer holds a trusted position in any
organization.
He loved money so much that he betrayed the Lord Jesus.
The chief priests sent soldiers along with Judas, and he
identified Jesus by kissing Him in the Garden of Gethsemane. In return for this betrayal, Judas was paid thirty pieces of silver. Later, when Judas finally realized
his mistake, it was too late—he had already traded the Lord for money.

The choices we make define our lives—choose wisely.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
ONLY GOD IS ALL-KNOWING
I constantly receive email after email saying, “Read this
and forward it to ten, fifteen, or twenty people, and your
wish will come true or something good will happen to you.” The sad part is that these are often forwarded by Christians.
It reminds me of the story of a crystal-gazer who collected $25 for a reading and told her visitor, “This
entitles you to ask me two questions.” “Isn’t that a lot of
money for only two questions?” the startled visitor asked. “Yes, madam, it is,” answered the fortune-teller
gravely. “And now, what is your second question?”
Not only are these people making money off of you, but
by participating, you are violating the Word of God.
Nobody knows what tomorrow holds except God.

LIFE’S PRINCIPLE:
INSTRUCTION
A Sunday school teacher instructed her students to keep
quiet as they were on their way to the church service.
“And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?” the teacher asked.
One bright little girl replied, “Because people are
sleeping.”
Kidding aside, we go to church to learn and receive instruction from the Word of God. Don’t sleep on it.
