was called to Pastor in February of 2010 while still under Bishop James Herron, Sr at the Good Shepherd Church of Christ in Jersey City, NJ. Although nervous and not knowing what to expect, Elder Holmes then informed his Pastor Bishop James Herron, Sr. With much joy and confirmation, Bishop Herron released Elder Holmes to start a ministry in Rahway, NJ. Elder Holmes informed Bishop that the church
will remain in the International Bibleway Worldwide Organization under him in the New Jersey Central District Diocese. On March the 6, 2011 the New Life Church of Christ was Founded by Elder Emanuel Holmes Sr. He and his wife First Lady Minister Andrea Holmes began having services at 460 Harrison St, Rahway NJ. On April the 10, 2011, the official Installation Service took place at the Good Shepherd Church of Christ. Bishop Franklin Pettiford, Pastor of the Greater Bibleway Church in Paterson, NJ and the New Jersey Diocesan Episcopal Bishop Installed Pastor Holmes. Since that first service in the basement on March 6th, where 5 members joined and started this ministry, it has grown and the New Life Church moved into the Best Western Hotel, 1747 Paterson St, Rahway and now has ballooned to over 35 members, 14 members have already been baptized and has repented of their sins and made Jesus Christ their personal Lord and Savior. Also two marriages have been performed by Pastor Holmes as a result of the marriage counseling Ministry. As this ministry continues to grow, Pastor Holmes and now Elder-Elect & First Lady Andrea Holmes have kept to the scripture that reads in Ecclesiastes 7:8 "The end of a thing is better than it's beginning thereof". Pastor Holmes under the anointing of the Holy Ghost, continues to Teach, Preach, Pray, and Lead this congregation with Love, Power, and Energy as he and First Lady bridge the gap between young and old with the burden removing, yoke destroying power of the Holy Ghost. The lord has blessed with a Young Peoples Department, Sunday School Department, Outreach Ministry, Prayer Ministry, Missionary Department, and ushers and a deacons in training. The New Life Church is Founded and built on the Apostolic Faith according to Acts 2:38. God still has much to manifest in this Ministry, the vision God has given Pastor Holmes is to draw, teach, and lead as many as the lord will call into this ministry. The visionary see's Daycare, Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Food Pantry, Outreach Ministry, and Music Ministry in this Church. Pastor Holmes is working on his book "The End of a thing is better than it's Beginning" Services are Every Sunday starting at 10:30 a.m. with Sunday School, 11:30 a.m. Morning Service, and Friday Night Service starting at 7:00 p.m.
