Jesus emphasized welcoming, loving, and protecting immigrants—referred to as “strangers” or “foreigners”—as a core requirement of faith, often equating care for them with care for Himself. Key teachings, such as in Matthew 25:31-46, indicate that nations will be judged on how they treat the needy, including the foreigner. Special thanks to our city councilwoman Elena Little and our Mayor James Solomon for hosting a Know Your Rights As An Immigrant workshop for the community.
