On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, we join Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin in prayer.

In tragic times, when the whole world is prey to suffering and anxiety, we fly to you, Holy Mary, Mother of God and our mother, and we seek refuge under your protection. Inspire us to walk with you on the Way of the Cross.

Today, on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, we once again lift up all who have suffered as the result of sexual abuse in our Church and our society. May the healing power of Christ crucified bring consolation and hope to all.

On this 25th anniversary of 9/11, we solemnly remember those who lost their lives and pray that God’s peace, healing, and hope continue to guide our nation and our world.

Let us join Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin in prayer: “Loving Mother Mary, on this 25th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedies, help us remember in a special way all those we lost, and all the heroes who gave everything to defend the sanctity of human life and the precious gift of freedom.”

Today, the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We join Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin in prayer:

"Hail, holy Queen, our life, our sweetness, and our hope... Turn then, O most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary."
