This is a personal invitation to all to come be with us tomorrow night starting at 6:30pm we will be having our annual bread baking service where the sisters prepare the bread for communion. On sunday morning starting at 9:30am we will be having our communion and old time foot washing following our church service everyone please come out and join us. Although we practice a closed communion meaning only the brothers and sisters of the indian bottom association can partake in the service it is still encouraged to the ones who arent members to stay and observe this sacred practice of communion and footwashing. We strive to stay just as close to the instructions that were given unto us by christ himself in the scriptures. It’s a humbling experience to practice what was instructed to us so long ago and it’s not something to be taken lightly.
“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And He said to them, “This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many. Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”
Mark 14:22-26
“and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.”
I Corinthians 11:24-26
