For generations, the church has focused on changing behavior while neglecting the greater work of true transformation.

But the Kingdom of God was never designed to produce people who simply act differently outwardly. The assignment of Heaven has always been far deeper than behavioral modification.

In this powerful message, Apostle Christopher Turney confronts one of the greatest deceptions in modern Christianity: the belief that spiritual maturity is measured by what we do rather than what we become.

James 1:22 tells us to “be doers of the word,” but what if the emphasis was never simply on doing?

What is true legacy?

In Jeremiah 35, God points to the legacy of an obscure man named Jonadab, a father whose influence became so profound that generations after his death, his descendants were still living by the principles he established. So powerful was his legacy that God used the devotion of one man’s descendants to confront an entire nation.

Today we examine a powerful question:

Is legacy simply what we leave behind for future generations to possess… or is legacy what we successfully build within others that continues living long after we are gone?

Are we raising children to achieve cultural success… or building sons capable of preserving divine purpose?

This Father’s Day message challenges the way we define fatherhood, success, sacrifice, discipline, and what it truly means to impart something so deeply that heaven itself recognizes its influence for generations.

What Should We Bring to Church?

One of the greatest misunderstandings in modern church culture is the belief that gathering with the Body is primarily about what we receive.

Yet Scripture consistently reveals that when men approached God, the question was never “What am I going to get?” but rather “What am I bringing before the Lord?”

When we gather, every believer should come carrying something sacred.

1. Bring Your Expression
Holy Bible “When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation…” (1 Corinthians 14:26)

Church was never designed for spectators. Every believer should come with something flowing from their communion with God, revelation, testimony, encouragement, prayer, or a word that strengthens the Body.

2. Bring Your Worship
Holy Bible “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise…”

Worship should not begin when music starts. We should arrive already prepared for encounter, carrying thanksgiving, reverence, hunger, and expectation before the Father.

3. Bring Your Offering
David declared in Holy Bible 2 Samuel 24:24:
“Neither will I offer… that which doth cost me nothing.”

An offering is not only financial, however, money is the most tethered to the heart thing many possess, therefore in bringing our treasure is a reflection of our heart. It is also, bringing something of value before the King such surrender, sacrifice, obedience, generosity, and the willingness to give what costs you something.

4. Bring Honor
You cannot approach sacred things casually. Honor is the recognition that what we are participating in is holy. The way we carry ourselves before God reveals whether we truly understand who He is.

5. Bring Love for the Body
We do not gather as isolated individuals. We come as family. This means bringing forgiveness, unity, encouragement, and genuine concern for one another.

The modern believer often asks:
“What did I get out of church today?”

But perhaps the better question is:

“What did I bring before the Lord today?”

Because the gathering was never meant to be something we consume…It was meant to be something we contribute to.
