BEHOLD! I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW”, saith the LORD!
I watched the sky catch fire this morning….
It started with a faint flicker of light on the horizon. And the slow creep of light gradually enlivened the sleeping sky.
That slow, lazy flicker steadily grew in strength and became a peach blush that spread across the sword’s edge where sky meets earth.
Then, the underbellies of the drifting clouds caught the light and, filtered through the heavenly mists, the light deepened to the reddish blush of a new, low flame licking at the fuel of the world.
Minutes passed as I sat in wonder and awe at the beauty that God had given me to witness.
Then, almost as suddenly as a spark catching on the tinder, the flame of the Sun leapt into the heavens and set the clouds ablaze with, what MUST be, the Light of Creation. For, a brand new day had begun!
“BEHOLD! I make all things new!” saith the Lord!
I am reminded of the cleansing fire of the Holy Spirit of God that permeates and infiltrates us to the deepest recesses of our darkened and corrupted souls, at the moment we come to Christ; afraid, broken, ashamed, and destitute, in sorrow and moirning for the pain and disappointment that we have caused our Heavenly Father.
As the morning Sun creates a new day by the Grace of God, so too, Our Heavenly Father is Faithful to make of us a New Creation when we repent and confess Jesus the Christ as our Only Lord and Savior.
Then, the mystery and miracle of Creation sets upon us and that purest Light of Unbound Love comes forth from the Father and burns away the darkness within us, leaving the image and likeness of Christ Jesus, His Only Begotten Son.
“Behold! I make all things new!” saith the Lord.
THIS is the Love of the Father: that He would GIVE HIS SON into the hands of we wicked and rebellious Creations to be killed as a criminal and take away our sins so that He may obtain, through the Righteousness and Love of His Son, uncountable sons and daughters from among us, in the Light of the Spirit of God, through Jesus the Christ.
This is my Testimony, my prayer, my hope, and my love, to all who read this.
A servant of God, in Christ.
Amen and Hallelujah!
