Hello JUMC Friends!

We are hoping for beautiful weather and a great turnout for our Spring Maintenance Day this coming Saturday, June 13th.

Whether you’re an expert or just want to help rake, all skill levels are welcome! Drop in anytime between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to lend a hand.

The Details:

Food: Refreshments and lunch will be provided to keep us fueled!

Families: Kids are more than welcome (with adult supervision).

Gear: If you have a favorite pair of work gloves, a trusty rake, or tools, feel free to bring them along.

Students: Time spent counts toward community service hours! Just bring your paperwork for us to sign.

Feel free to spread the word and invite friends. See the poster attached below for more details!

Hello JUMC Friends-
We have a couple of prayer requests to share with our community today:

For Judy’s Brother-in-Law, Blaise: Judy is asking for prayers for Blaise, who is undergoing major cardiac surgery this Monday. Because this is not his first heart surgery, the family would deeply appreciate your prayers for a successful procedure, a smooth recovery, and comfort for Blaise and his loved ones during this stressful time.

For Rachel and Her Family: My daughter Rachel suffered a head injury yesterday and has a minor concussion. She has been instructed to "lay low" and rest for the upcoming week. Please pray for her pain relief and for the strength to manage a restful week—which is no easy task with a demanding job and a very attached 7-year-old and 3-year-old at home! Prayers for patience and peace for the whole family are much appreciated.🙏

Hey family,

For the first time since I became a pastor, I took a real vacation. It was just a weekend, but I went away and recharged. Sometimes it's hard to get away because I feel like there's so much to do, so I can't. However, even God rested. Also, many pastors suffer from burnout and become sick from lack of rest. I'm thankful I listened to the Holy Spirit and finally took a little time. I need to do more, but it's baby steps for me. I missed being away from Jenkintown United Methodist Church, but I now truly understand the importance of vacation. It's different than just not preaching a Sunday; it's so important and needed to unplug to rest in the Lord.

However, I am back! And I'm excited to preach this Sunday. I'll be coming from Romans 4:13-25. The sermon is titled "Faith Resting on Grace". What does it look like to have faith that rests not on physical things, but on the grace that God gives us?

I'll see you this Sunday! Join us for Sunday School at 10 a.m. and service will start promptly at 10:45 a.m.! Love you all! See you tomorrow at Jenkintown United Methodist Church!

Hello Friends!
We're excited about an upcoming fundraiser to help with JUMC expenses. Though we're calling it an ice cream fundraiser, there will be all sorts of simple sandwiches like hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken sandwiches so a perfect easy meal and dessert for all!
Come over any time between 6 and 9pm 6/24, mention the fundraiser, and JUMC will receive 20% of proceeds. Feel free to tell a friend!😊
