Please contact us with any questions at [email protected] or visit us at http://www.faithprc.org/ Who We Are:

Faith Protestant Reformed Church was organized on February 22, 1973 with nineteen families. Our congregation currently has 133 families with a total membership of over 550 souls. We are led in worship each week by Rev. Clay Spronk, who has been our pastor since December 2014. We belong to

the Federation of Protestant Reformed Churches in America, a denomination of 31 churches and more than 7,700 members. We were founded as a denomination of Reformed churches in 1924 and can trace our roots historically and doctrinally to the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century in Europe. We follow the 3 historic Reformed creeds, also known as the Three Forms of Unity: the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dordt. We believe these creeds accurately and faithfully summarize the teachings of Scripture. For further information on the Protestant Reformed Churches of America, go to http://www.prca.org. What We Believe:

Scripture
The Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and without error (II Timothy 3:16). In the Bible, God teaches us about Himself and our salvation in His Son, Jesus Christ. Trinity
God is a Triune God, three Persons in one Being: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). God's Sovereignty
God is sovereign over all things. His all-powerful rule extends over the entire universe (Isaiah 46:10). No creature or event is outside of His eternal plan. He works all things according to His own counsel to the praise of His own glory (Exodus 20:11). Holiness
God is perfectly holy and righteous (Revelation 4:8-11). He created Adam and Eve, our first parents, to reflect His holiness, but they rebelled against God and as a result died spiritually. As descendants of Adam, all mankind is guilty and worthy of God's wrath (I Corinthians 15:21-22). Mercy
But God is a God of mercy and love, and has sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for all the sins of His people (Ephesians 1:4-5). The Son of God was incarnated into our human flesh, born of a virgin, lived in perfect obedience to God, His Father, and suffered the eternal wrath of God on the cross for all His people (Galatians 1:3-4). Jesus rose from the dead and now rules at God's right hand (Acts 2:32-33). Covenant
God is sovereign in this work of salvation (Romans 8:28-30). We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). The Holy Spirit regenerates our spiritually dead hearts and we are given faith to believe the promises of the gospel (John 3:1-8). Through the means of grace, chiefly the preaching of His Word, we grow in a life of holiness, turning away from sin, and serving God in thankfulness (I Corinthians 1:17-25). Through Christ, God has established an eternal covenant between Himself and His elect church. In this covenant, established and maintained by His sovereign grace alone, God loves us as friends, takes us into His own Family, and joins us to Christ so that we are heirs of eternal life (I John 3:1-2). Particular Grace
God's love is particular; He effectually works His salvation only in his elect people (Romans 9:6-16). He does not offer the gospel to everyone for them to accept or reject at will. Rather, He saves those and only those whom He has chosen in Christ before the world was created (Ephesians 2:1-9). Eternal Judgment
Jesus is coming again to judge the living and the dead, and to gather all His people to Himself (II Timothy 4:5). Those who believe in Him will dwell with Him in heavenly glory, but those who do not know God and obey not the gospel of Jesus Christ, will suffer God's eternal wrath in hell (Revelation 20:11-15).

Weekly Devotional — Trusting God’s Direction and Guidance
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)

There are seasons in life when the next step feels uncertain. We try to think it through, plan every detail, and make sense of what lies ahead. Yet this passage reminds us that peace is not found in having every answer—it is found in trusting the One who does.

To trust God “with all thine heart” means placing our confidence in His wisdom above our own. It means surrendering our fears, questions, and timelines to Him, even when the path isn’t fully visible. Our understanding is limited, but His never is.

“Acknowledge him” means inviting the Lord into every area of life—our work, family, decisions, burdens, and hopes. When we do, He promises to direct our paths. He may not always reveal the whole road at once, but He faithfully gives light for the next step.

This week, if you feel unsure about what’s ahead, rest in this promise: God is able to lead you better than you can lead yourself. Trust Him with today, and let Him handle tomorrow.

Weekly Devotional — Psalm 103:8 (KJV)

“The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.”

There are days when we are painfully aware of our failures, weaknesses, and shortcomings. In those moments, the enemy often whispers that God must be frustrated with us. Yet Psalm 103:8 reminds us of the true character of our Heavenly Father. He is merciful, gracious, patient, and overflowing with mercy.

God does not deal with His children harshly or impatiently. Though He is holy and just, He is also compassionate toward those who seek Him. His mercy is not scarce or limited—it is “plenteous.” That means there is more than enough grace for today’s burdens, yesterday’s mistakes, and tomorrow’s needs.

This verse should also shape how we treat others. If God is slow to anger with us, we should be patient with those around us. Mercy received should become mercy given.

As you walk through this week, rest in the goodness of God’s character. When you fail, run to Him rather than away from Him. His mercy is still abundant, and His grace is still sufficient.

Weekly Devotional: The Faithfulness of God
Deuteronomy 7:9 (KJV)

“Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.”

Faithfulness is one of the most comforting attributes of God because it means He never changes in His character, His promises, or His love toward His people. In a world where circumstances shift and people sometimes disappoint us, God remains completely trustworthy. Moses reminds Israel in this verse not merely to believe in God’s existence, but to know that He is “the faithful God.”

God’s faithfulness is seen in His covenant-keeping nature. Every promise He makes is grounded in His perfect character. He does not forget His Word, abandon His people, or grow weary in doing good. Throughout Scripture, we see generations rise and fall, yet God continues to fulfill what He has spoken. What He promised Abraham, He remembered. What He promised Israel, He accomplished. What He promises believers in Christ today, He will surely bring to pass.

This verse also reminds us that God’s faithfulness is closely connected with His mercy. He does not deal with His children only according to strict justice, but with steadfast love and compassion. Even when believers stumble, God remains patient and gracious, drawing them back to Himself. His faithfulness is not fragile like human loyalty—it is enduring and perfect.

At times, we may question God’s faithfulness when prayers seem unanswered or trials linger longer than expected. Yet faithfulness is often most clearly seen not in the absence of hardship, but in God’s sustaining presence through it. He strengthens, guides, corrects, and preserves His people according to His purposes. His timing may differ from ours, but His promises never fail.

Because God is faithful, believers are called to respond with faithful obedience. Love for God is not merely spoken; it is lived out through trust, devotion, and submission to His Word. Our obedience does not earn His faithfulness, but it reflects a heart that truly believes He is worthy of trust.

Weekly Devotional: The Faithful Providence of God
Psalm 145:13–16 (KJV)

“Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.”

There is a quiet strength in these verses—a steady reminder that God’s rule is not distant or abstract, but active, present, and deeply personal. His kingdom is everlasting, not subject to the instability and uncertainty we experience in our daily lives. Because His dominion endures through all generations, His care does not fade with time, nor does it overlook the details of our present needs.

Providence is more than provision; it is the intentional, loving governance of God over all creation. Verse 14 reveals His tenderness: He upholds those who fall and lifts those who are bowed down. This is not the work of a distant ruler, but of a compassionate Father who sees weakness and responds with sustaining grace. When life feels overwhelming—whether through failure, discouragement, or burden—we are not left to recover alone. God Himself is our support.

Verse 15 shifts our focus outward: “The eyes of all wait upon thee.” All creation, knowingly or not, depends on God’s provision. He gives “meat in due season,” meaning His provision is both sufficient and timely. Yet, this can challenge us. We often want immediate answers, instant relief, or visible certainty. God’s providence, however, operates on perfect timing, not hurried expectation. Trust grows when we learn to wait with confidence rather than anxiety.

Finally, verse 16 offers a beautiful image of divine generosity: “Thou openest thine hand.” God is not reluctant to give. He is not stingy with His care. His open hand satisfies the desire of every living thing according to His wisdom. This should reshape how we view both our needs and our prayers. We are invited to trust not only that God provides—but that He provides well.

Reflection:
Where in your life are you struggling to trust God’s timing or provision? Are you trying to carry something He has already promised to uphold?

Weekly Devotional: “Put On the Whole Armour”
Ephesians 6:11 (KJV)

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

There’s a quiet assumption many of us carry into our week: that life is mostly neutral. We expect challenges, sure—but not opposition. Yet this verse pulls back the curtain and reminds us that the Christian life is not lived on a playground, but on a battlefield.

Paul doesn’t say if the enemy schemes—he says there are “wiles,” strategies, deliberate attempts to distract, discourage, and divide. The danger is not always obvious. Sometimes it looks like subtle compromise, persistent doubt, or slow spiritual drift. And trying to stand against that in your own strength is like stepping into a storm without shelter.

That’s why the instruction is so direct: “Put on the whole armour of God.” Not pieces of it. Not only when you feel weak. The whole armor, every day.

This armor isn’t physical—it’s spiritual. It’s truth when lies are loud. It’s righteousness when compromise is easy. It’s faith when fear creeps in. It’s salvation that reminds you who you are, and the Word of God that grounds you when everything else shakes. God hasn’t left you exposed—He’s equipped you.

But notice something important: you still have to put it on. The armor is provided, but it’s not automatic. Each day is an intentional choice to walk in truth, to lean on God’s strength, and to stay spiritually alert.

And the goal? “That ye may be able to stand.” Not necessarily to win every visible battle instantly—but to remain steady, faithful, and unmoved. Sometimes standing firm is the victory.
