K of C Council 7487 We are the Knights of Columbus of Holy Redeemer Parish and practice Charity, Unity and Fraternity.
in Grand Rapids, MI.

The Knights of Columbus of our Council work to exemplify the pillars of our Order. The dues and the proceeds from the events we host are used to help fund local Charities. Some of these have been service dogs for children with Type 1 diabetes. Helping to buy Ultrasound equipment, funding for Help Pregnancy Center on Bridge St. We assist local widows and the infirm, with repairs to their homes, yar

ds, or tasks they cannot perform. We work together in Unity, helping each other to perform our tasks, and lending spiritual hope during times of need. Ours is a brotherhood, a Catholic Fraternity, working with our Pastor and Parish, as well as enjoying each other’s company with our families. Happy Sunday! Below are the activities for the week of 8/30/26.

Monday 8/31
- Holy Hoops @ 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Activity Center. Open to all adults.

Tuesday 9/1
- Futsal For All @ 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Open to all ages but a parent or guardian must be present.

Wednesday 9/2
- Council Meeting at 7:30 PM in classrooms 10 & 11.

On the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we celebrate our hope in the promise of eternal life.

Mary, assumed body and soul into heaven, shows us where a life of faithfulness to God ultimately leads. Her life points always to her Son, and her Assumption reminds us that we, too, are called to share in Christ’s victory over death.

May Our Lady, Queen of Heaven, intercede for us, for our families and for the whole Church, and help us follow her example of humble trust and joyful obedience.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

On this feast of Blessed Michael McGivney, we invite you take a moment and pray for his intercession in your needs both great and ordinary. As we continue to pray for his canonization, we rejoice in the many everyday favors granted by God through Father McGivney’s intercession — simple prayers offered with open hearts that help those devoted to him get through trying times, challenging diagnoses, difficult struggles, and strained relationships.
