Today, June 4th, is the commemoration of the passing of Grand Master Dengyo (767-822), whose real name was Saicho, he founded the Tendai school in Japan, based on the teachings of the Chinese T'ien T'ai based on the Lotus Sutra and thanks to his wisdom and deep understanding of the Lotus sutra, the Tendai school has developed tremendously, becoming one of the most influential in Japan.
