Call to Action!
The Keystone Conference Annual Meeting theme this year and next is People of the Table. Significantly, we are all encountering rising costs in feeding our families. Imagine (or maybe you have your own experience) facing cuts to assistance that helps you feed you and yours. The struggle is very real.

Bread for the World has started a letter-writing campaign to Members of the US House of Representatives and Senate asking them to delay changes in the cost-sharing formula that will make states pick up a larger share of the cost of the Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). As it stands, October 1 is the first deadline for states to take on more of the costs for SNAP, but states across the political spectrum are not fully prepared to absorb the changes from H.R. 1 by then. Unless that is changed, many families in the Commonwealth—including those with children—will fall through the cracks and not receive the nutrition they need.
