It's been a busy week at Annual Conference in Indianapolis for your conference delegation! This was also a great time for catching up with former pastors - David Lee, John Groves, and Kathy Ottinger!

This week we begin a series of sermons that give us the chance to "Ask John Wesley" a few things. Given he and his brother Charles Wesley gave us much of our theology as United Methodists and many of our hymns, we will go to the source for a deeper understanding of our shared beliefs and practices.

As we move through this series, we'll give you questions each week in the newsletter and on social media, things to get you ready for Sunday, when we will explore the questions together.

Here's what you get this week: What is the difference between a disciple and a Christian? How do we live as both in a way that pleases God?

We hope you can join us as we begin our sessions with John Wesley. See you on Sunday!

In this episode of By the Well, we celebrate our graduates who all completed college degrees this year. As we celebrate their transition, we also spend time reflecting together on those seasons of life change, when God invites us into new adventures. How do we respond during those moments in life?

Wall Street has a long tradition of supporting schools in a variety of ways. This time of year, we focus on gathering supplies to put together 36 backpacks for students at Riverside, Franklin Square, and Parkwood Elementary Schools.

The items that we need donated for this project are listed on the Missions bulletin board just outside the sanctuary. Simply take a "tag" off the board and start shopping! This way we will know which items will be purchased. Of course, monetary donations can be given through the offering plate or sent to the church office marked "Backpack Project" and we will do the shopping!

Donated supplies can put in the wooden Missions box just outside the sanctuary doors. We will be collecting for this project through mid July. The Mission Task Force and our youth will fill the backpacks so we can donate two per grade for the three schools.

Our "Blessing of the Backpacks" will be on July 19 during the morning worship service.

Mr. Perrin Bear and Wall Street invite you to the next Wild Church gathering TOMORROW!

When? Saturday, May 30th, from 1:00-2:00 PM
Where? Perrin Park (414 Perrin Lane, Jeffersonville)
Who? All ages are invited, and you are encouraged to bring others (family, friends, youth, adults, coworkers, neighbors, etc.) with you!

Why? We will ponder the natural order given to our universe by God following by time to contemplate Creation. Lots of wildlife and interesting plants to be seen as you stroll in this lovely suburban park.
How? Be sure to dress for the outdoors and weather as this is a rain or shine event. We will meet in the parking lot. This is a free event, and this park has restrooms and is very accessible with paved paths.
What? Bring a chair if you want to sit for contemplation. Bug spray and sunscreen are a good idea too. Be there for this early summer gathering focused on reclaiming wonder and awe!

Wall Street has supported Operation Classroom for years, and right now they are doing incredible work with solar power in Sierra Leone.

A leaky roof, solar panels, and metal frames were the center of activities for faculty, current and former students, and professionals on the campus a few weeks ago. Frames were constructed at the site for the solar panel canopy, solar panels were carefully removed from the roof of the dining hall, and panels were laid out on the canopy and all were connected to the control room.
