Our priest is making the journey to Indianapolis to be with so many others in our The Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis in a Noonday Prayer for Peace service. Let us all join our neighbors at noon to take a moment of prayer. 🙏

Gather on the Christ Church Cathedral, Indianapolis lawn at noon on Holy Monday for a contemplative midday service of prayer, scripture, and song that draws us deeper into the journey of Holy Week. The service will feature readings from Isaiah and the Gospel of John, Taizé hymns, a reflection by Bishop Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows, and a powerful litany of intercession for our city, our nation, and a troubled world. As part of this service, worshippers will be invited to write their personal laments and prayers on slips of paper that will be set aside, carried through Holy Week and burned as the kindling for the new fire at the Easter Vigil to signify our hope that God will transform our grief and longing into the very light of the Resurrection. Clergy are invited to vest and process with red stoles.
