In your personal life do you allow prayer to push cares of the world aside or do you allow the cares of life to push prayer aside? Was listening to a sermon by Dr. Tony Evans on prayer today and it really resonated. At one point in it he pointed to how Jesus Christ on his busiest day on earth went out even earlier and prayed. The busier the day the earlier he got up and into prayer. How much time do you intentionally set aside for God? In Nehemiah God fixed a 140+ year problem in 52 days. How? Well before Nehemiah tried anything he spent time fasting and praying.
Having some troubles in your relationship? Try taking a week and instead of eating dinner spend 30 minutes praying as a couple. You’re gonna see results.
My dad often has said from the pulpit, “Prayer is the first thing, prayer is the second thing, prayer is the third thing. Pray, pray pray!”
