For the health and safety of our members, River Ridge will be having a prayer meeting in the evening at Eastern Heights Baptist Church instead of our regular Sunday Morning service. Please feel free to share this to your feed or with a friend. For those who are not comfortable coming to the meeting in person, we will be offering a livestream on our page here at the time of the event (6:30pm).
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely He will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday... He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.” Psalms 91:1-6, 15
Remember, God is our shelter. Lean on Him during this time of uncertainty and anxiety; present your fears to Him. He cares for us deeply, and is still present even when we cannot feel Him. While we do not understand why this is happening, God’s plans are still good. I urge you to pray for others during this time and to abide in His word. If you cannot be with us on Sunday night, please still join us in prayer.
Lastly, this is a reminder to please be mindful of your health and the health of others. The CDC recommends the following:
•If you have a fever greater than 100.4, cough, runny nose, sore throat or trouble breathing in the last 24 hours, please stay at home until those symptoms have been gone for at least 24 hours.
•Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
•If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content.
•Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then immediately throw the tissue away.
•Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
•Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
We are doing our best to make sure we can provide our congregation with a clean environment where we can meet for fellowship. We look forward to praying with you this Sunday evening.
