Jefferson Presbyterian Church

Jefferson Presbyterian Church Presenting Jesus Christ as He is to people as they are. Our services are pretty traditional, but we're not stuffy or formal. We're not the best singers.

Established in February 1888, Jefferson Presbyterian Church has tried to faithfully present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Jefferson and the surrounding areas. We're reverent, but we laugh at mistakes. Our sermons walk through the Scripture lesson, pretty much verse by verse, attempting to give context and meaning and significance and, hopefully, connecting the lessons to life today.

Sure, we're small... but we've been here 135 years, which proves that God still has a purpose for us (and that we're tenacious)! No, we don't have everything a mega-church has, but here, we're a close church family; every person is truly vital, every person is missed when they're absent, and every person has the chance to help us do more and be what they're looking for in a church home.

We honored our graduates this past Sunday... three remarkable, brilliant young women of faith who will make their mark on the world! Eva graduated high school and moves onto college with a full scholarship; Hannah got her AA, was on the president's list, and will be continuing her higher education in the fall; and Rebecca got her BA with honors (summa cm laude). Following the service, we held a reception for them. God bless you, Eva, Hannah, and Rebecca!
