Medical Missions Ministry of Ashe (MMMA)

Medical Missions Ministry of Ashe (MMMA) Medical Missions Ministry of Ashe (MMMA) is a 501c3 organization with a heart for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ & ministering to the needs of people.

Medical Missions Ministry of Ashe (MMMA) is a non-profit (501c3) organization that has been active in making an impact since 1997. It started from a vision shared by medical professionals at Ashe Medical Associates and others in Ashe County, N. Carolina. Our mission, heart and focus are to seek opportunities to make a difference in the lives of people locally and abroad. Over the past 17 years, we

have ministered to the physical and spiritual needs of people in Ashe County, the Blackfeet Indian Reservation of Montana, Ukraine, and Belize. Our current efforts are centered in Nicaragua – where we are assisting a missionary family that is spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in the barrio of Delores. This is being accomplished through personal home visits to assess physical, medical and spiritual needs; Bible Clubs; feeding programs; family sponsorships; and teaching self–supporting methods of living.

The team made it home safely last night before the impending storm. Thank you all for your prayers! Now may the Holy Spirit continue the work He started in and through us.

It’s been a pretty incredible week of ministry that we hate to see come to an end! We wrapped up VBS & the women’s ministry and dedicated the house that was built today. With full yet aching hearts, we said goodbye to people we have come to love and shared our blessings with each other at our closing banquet this evening. Thank you for your prayers; they have played an integral part in the “accomplishments” of the week. We won’t know the full extent of them until we get to heaven. Gloria a Dios!🙌🏻

Listen to the beautiful voices of these precious women worshiping God.🥰

Pray as the Gospel is shared today and the house is dedicated, all to the glory of God!

We did some treacherous trekking through the mud today, but at least it didn’t rain on us! It was another day of good ministry. We’re having around 100 kids for VBS and 25 for women’s ministry. We’ve delivered groceries, Bibles & the Gospel to 10 families so far, and the house is coming along well. We do have a sick team member for whom we would appreciate your prayers. God is working, and we feel so privileged and blessed to be here!

Well, we did get some rain today. We got soggy and muddy, but the "showers of blessing" made it worth it! The men made some good progress on the house, and we had some wonderful ministry opportunities with the children and the women and several needy families in the village. More of the same to come tomorrow! Thank you for your prayers!

Today, we celebrate the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

As one of the leaders of the Civil Rights Movement, Dr. King’s activism led to groundbreaking legislative reforms against Jim Crow laws and other legalized forms of racism.

On this day, we honor Dr. King’s legacy as a day of service, where people are urged to give back to their communities and reflect on how they are creating an equitable and inclusive environment.

As Dr. King said, “Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

It was a busy day yesterday! We visited the children that we sponsor; visited the family whose house we built last year; visited the children’s home and took ice cream and supplies for the homes; and went to church in the evening. Today the men start building the house, and the women have VBS this morning and women’s Bible study in the afternoon. Clouds all around us, but no rain so far! (Unless it rained in the night) Glory to God!
