What a remarkable way to kick off the celebration of 141 years of God's faithfulness at St. Paul First Baptist Church!
On yesterday, we were blessed to see so many family members, friends, former members, and community partners gather with us for Family & Friends Day as we launched our 141st Church Anniversary Celebration. Your presence made the day special, and we are truly grateful for everyone who came to worship, fellowship, and celebrate with us.
As part of our worship experience, we explored Psalm 78 and reflected on the message, "A Faith Worth Passing Down." The psalmist reminds us that every generation has a responsibility to tell the next generation about the goodness, faithfulness, and mighty acts of God. We are not called to keep God's blessings to ourselves, but to share them so that those coming behind us will know where their hope comes from.
In a world where values and priorities are constantly changing, Psalm 78 challenges us to intentionally pass down a faith that endures. Not simply through words, but through lives that demonstrate trust in God. As Deuteronomy teaches, God's truth should be woven into our daily conversations, our homes, and our relationships so that future generations can experience His love and guidance firsthand.
Yesterday was a beautiful reminder that faith is not meant to stop with us. It is meant to flow through us. We celebrate the generations that came before us, those serving today, and those who will carry the torch tomorrow.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. As we continue our anniversary celebration, let us remain committed to building a legacy of faith in Jesus Christ that will stand the test of time.
