Move Up Sunday will be August 16th!
All who are going into the 6th grade will be going into YOUTH CULTURE on Sunday mornings now too!
Anyone who is going into Kindergarten will be moving up into the GREEN KIDS CULTURE room on Sundays!

It seems King Neb didn’t learn from his shenanigans with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
Despite an awesome display of power from God through Daniel interpreting Neb’s dream, he still holds onto his pride and refuses to repent.

From Sunday's lesson:
King Nebuchadnezzar was quite an accomplished king and thought much of himself. We’ll see how that played out when he took it too far and tried to take from God what is only His -
worship.

Jesus is the perfect example of how to use power for good. He never took ahold of the pride He deserved to have because He had work to do that was more important. He completed that work in the most humble way - on the cross. God calls us to be like Jesus for the sake of His church. We have no room for pride
because we have important work to do alongside Jesus that requires us to be humble just like Him.

Here is the Bible verse for the week:
Psalm 145:8-9
The Lord is gracious, kind and tender.
He is slow to get angry and full of love.
The Lord is good to all.
He shows deep concern for everything he has made.
If your child can tell it to me next Sunday, they can pick a prize from the prize bucket!
