Good morning my friends. I've not posted in awhile; I've been doing some work for Timeless Visits that isn't my favorite component of creating this little business! With some assistance from my daughter, Lacey Knox , I was able to create a website. It is still in progress and needs some adjustment (the change from desktop view to mobile view has created some glitches in appearance), but it's a start.

Thoughtful Gravesite Visits &Floral Placement Helping honor & care for the resting places of those you miss and love. Timeless Visits A fresh approach to a timeless tradition.

When making an arrangement for someone, I try to personalize it as much as possible. Favorite colors, personality, or whatever "feeling" comes to me.

There are times I'll make something and then take it all apart....which wastes so much time! But it's important to me that I create something unique and special...because I'm making it FOR someone unique and special.

This is a "headstone saddle". Underneath the flowers is a frame with bendable legs/clips that are placed securely on top of a headstone.

She looks like she'd belong to someone who was light-hearted and feels free.

I am pleased with how they held up through rain, wind, and sun!

Can you imagine signing an "enlistment with parental consent" form for your son to join the Navy....during an active war? How about being a senior in high school and choosing to join the Navy, the day after you turn 17?
I cannot...but Percy and Marie Ledgard signed those papers & Walt willingly enlisted in the Navy during WW2.

First boot camp then radar school. After radar training was complete, he returned home for two days before serving our country on the aircraft carrier, USS Enterprise.

His graduation from McKeesport High School fell on one of the days he was home. While proudly wearing his military uniform, he received his high school diploma. His mother said, "He had the loudest applause out of everybody". ❤️ How proud and scared his parents must've been.

After the war, Walter, got married & was the father to one daughter and five sons; my dad is the oldest son. Walt was a truck driver and unfortunately died at the young age of 53.

I have few memories of my grandfather, I was only 7 when he died. But today, I put 50s&60s country music (mixed with a little Brenda Lee) on my phone, leaned it up against the neighbor's flower vase (Andrew & Dorothy were totally fine with it, of course I asked their permission), and we spent some time together.
Happy Father's Day, Pap Ledgard

Headstones are meant to mark a grave and memorialize a life once lived. Whether a stone is large and elaborate or small and quiet really makes no difference; every person was loved. Loved by somebody at one time.

I was pleased to be given the opportunity to visit this beloved great-grandmother. I'm told she was magical and a very special woman. Based on the lovely photos of this couple I was permitted to share, that description of Frances does not surprise me.

Frances liked white cats, I'm not certain if she had one as a pet or she just favored them in general. I got to thinking about this; how often do you see an all white cat? Not very often, right?! Apparently only 5% of the domestic cat population is made up of white cats, meaning they are rare. Rare and special, just like this beautiful & magical great-grandmother ❤️. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Mike was a well known accordian player, and very handsome! I learned accordians can weigh 10-25lbs 💪 .

Engraved on the headstone behind the floral arrangement are the Slovenian words:
ZDAJ TV
ZDAJ TAM
Now here
Now there
A poetic phrase of shifting between worlds or states of being. Ranelle Smith

I have been asked how far Timeless Visits will travel to visit a memorial for placement of flowers, clean the stone, and tidy the surrounding area.
There are varying factors taken into consideration; therefore, it's always best to contact me if you have a specific area or would like to refer Timless Visits to family or friends.
Generally, there is a "per mile" charge after the first 10 miles from the business location. It's always best to inquire because you just never know!

Johnny and Joannie are laid to rest near the bottom of a hill at Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth. Their grave faces beautiful green trees and a peaceful environment (which was in full sun during my late morning visit with them, and it was unbelievably HOT! Thankfully Jerry and Faye's were next and in shade 😜). John and Joan had a sense of humor and were probably laughing at me while I scrubbed away with sweat in my eyes misplacing my tools under my blanket.

At one time Johnny owned Bilak's Bar in McKeesport (does anybody remember this establishment?) and they had a place in Pymatuning. They enjoyed their pontoon and fishing for walleye.

Unfortunately, John's stone has settled and could use reset. But going along with his fun sense of humor, he walked with a limp anyway 😉.
