A great multitude of people from every language, culture, and nation is coming to Kansas City for one of the world’s biggest sporting events. The nations are gathering in America—thousands upon thousands of fans—many like sheep without a shepherd. Will we look at them with compassion, or simply ignore them?
If you feel led to share Christ’s compassion and the hope of the gospel, we invite you to join us in Kansas City on any of these days:

Game 2: Ecuador vs. Curaçao — June 20
Game 3: Tunisia vs. Netherlands — June 25
Game 4: Algeria vs. Austria — June 27
Game 5: Round of 32 — July 3
Game 6: Quarterfinal — July 11

We will meet at Connection Point Church in Raytown at 9:00 AM on each of these days. Together we will pray, encourage one another, and then go out for an afternoon and evening of street evangelism. By the way, we had a blessed day today sharing Jesus! It’s not too late—you can still join us. East Region Strategist Reggan Jett recently met with Pastor Noah Coates to complete the process of bringing Waypoint Overland into partnership with the Missouri Baptist Convention.

After years of decline, a church that once faced an uncertain future is experiencing new life through a replanting effort led by Waypoint Church. We are excited to see how God uses this renewed gospel witness to reach the Overland community and impact future generations for Christ!

Our East Region Strategist, Reggan Jett, was blessed with the opportunity to worship with the wonderful folks at Rockport Baptist Church this morning!

Pastor Scott Lee is doing an incredible job leading the congregation. It was exciting to hear how God is working through their church family and to see firsthand the impact they are making in their community.

Rockport recently moved into a larger facility to accommodate their growing congregation, it is encouraging to witness the Lord’s blessing on their ministry!

One of the greatest blessings in life is worshiping God alongside people from different languages and cultures. Today, I had the joy of fellowshipping and preaching at Myanmar Christian Fellowship Church. May the Lord continue to bless them as they reach the Burmese community for Christ in the Columbia area. So, thankful for the leadership of Pastor Tun Tun and Pastor Mahn Seeson Shwewin.

Grand Oaks Baptist Camp!

It was a blessing to be invited by Pastor Jesse Fisher of Frazier Baptist Church to share God’s Word and on missions in Chilicothe at the Grand Oaks Baptist camp.

Almost 300 youth have come here this week for fun, fellowship and to hear from the Lord. Many have responded to the Gospel and call to ministry.

Alongside all the amazing adult volunteers, Brother Daniel Gibson from the MBC has been doing a wonderful work as the key note preacher, preaching from Psalm 23.

God continues to raise a new generation of disciples of Christ and it’s a privilege to witness this! 🙏

It has been an incredible week, today is our final day of ministry. I’d like to share a brief update so you can see how the Lord has been at work:
On Saturday, we held a revival service at a local park, where one of our Missouri pastors shared the gospel with many people in the community.
On Sunday, we worshiped with a local church. During the service, 25 people were baptized, 9 people were ordained as pastors, deacons, and evangelists, many children were dedicated to the Lord, and we celebrated the Lord’s Supper together.
From Monday through Thursday, we visited 13 homes, praying with families and sharing the gospel. Through these visits, two young men gave their lives to Christ. In addition, our Missouri pastors trained 80 local leaders, while the rest of the team led a wonderful Vacation Bible School with an average attendance of 75 children.
Please pray for us as we travel back home tomorrow. Thank you again for your faithful support. May the Lord bless you abundantly.

This afternoon we had the opportunity to walk through the Dzaleka refugee camp and visit the homes of several students from Bethlehem Christian Academy. As we visited each home, we shared the gospel and prayed with the families. Nearly every story was the same—tiny houses, broken families, deep poverty, and a lack of food. One moment that stood out was when a member of our team shared the gospel with a single mother who is struggling to provide for her family and has been forced into desperate means to survive. It was a powerful encounter, and everyone present could sense how the Holy Spirit was at work during that time. Please keep praying for us as we continue with two more days of ministry here.

The Lord is moving in Malawi in a mighty way. Today, we began our Vacation Bible School and pastoral training. Many children heard the gospel, and many pastors and church leaders were trained—learning more about God’s calling, pastoral qualifications, and spiritual warfare, all for God’s glory.

A full and meaningful first day of ministry here in Malawi. We spent time connecting with the staff and becoming familiar with the grounds of Bethlehem Christian Academy. We unpacked and distributed school supplies, prepared materials for this week’s VBS, and visited Dzaleka Refugee Camp where we were able to build relationships with many people. We also had the privilege of worship God and witnessing the baptism of 25 individuals and meeting with a group of ministry leaders who will be ordained tomorrow as pastors, deacons, and evangelists. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we press on in advancing God’s kingdom.

A great team of Missouri Baptist Convention churches led by Victor Ordonez working together with Bethlehem Christian Academy and The Nations Initiative to bring the gospel to Malawi!

Our team of 21 just stepped foot into Malawi this morning! We are so excited for the ministry they’ll be participating in throughout this week.

Please join us in praying for their safety and health as they serve. Most importantly, pray that the Gospel would go forth boldly and that hearts would be open to the love and truth of Jesus.
