What Can You Say?
What can you say when the morning breaks, And the sunrise scatters the night away? When the silence of darkness gives up its hold, To a symphony sung in shades of gold?
When the flowers rise with the morning breeze, And the hummingbird dances among the leaves? While the mist drifts softly across the land, As creation wakes at the Master's hand.
What can you say on a summer's day, When heaven paints beauty in every way? When wonder surrounds you wherever you roam, And every small blessing feels like home.
What can you say when your heart's amazed, By the mercy and grace in all You've made? I lift my eyes and I pray, Thank You, Lord... May I have another day?
What do you say to the passing clouds, As they gather and scatter without a sound? Changing shapes with the whispering wind, Leaving only the time that's been.
What do you say to the dancing shade, Always running from the light of day? Or the trees that sway as if welcoming all, Standing so faithful, standing so tall.
What can you say on a summer's day, When heaven paints beauty in every way? When wonder surrounds you wherever you roam, And every small blessing feels like home.
What can you say when your heart's amazed, By the mercy and grace in all You've made? I lift my eyes and I pray, Thank You, Lord... May I have another day?
And the rose unfolds in the evening light, Sharing its fragrance before the night, While the rainbow colors softly fade, And the moon keeps watch till the dawn is made.
Every star, every breeze, Every leaf upon the trees, Every moment seems to say, "Love has made another day."
What can you say on a summer's day, When heaven paints beauty in every way? When all of creation joins the song, And you know in your soul where you belong.
What can you say but stand in awe, Of the hand behind it all? I lift my eyes and I pray, Thank You, Lord... May I have another?
Thank You, Lord, For the sunrise and the rain, For the seasons and the change.
Thank You, Lord, For the gift of every day.
