🎆It will be an exciting weekend in worship as we celebrate Confirmation Sunday, the first day in our new NextGen Children's area and Father's Day! Please join us!

📣The Youth will not have regular Sunday School and are encouraged to gather with us in the Sanctuary for the Confirmation presentation.

🌠Before 10am worship, children starting at age 4 up through 5th grade will need to be escorted upstairs by a parent/guardian to check in on the 3rd Floor. Children ages 3 and younger are welcome to join us in the nursery located behind the coffee bar in the lobby for all or part of each Sunday service.

✝️Message by Pastor Kyrell: Shaped in Crisis

The biblical narrative is, in many ways, a chronicle of crisis. From the flood to the exile, Scripture was forged in catastrophe. The prophets emerged not in prosperity but in moral collapse and political ruin. The psalms of lament outnumber songs of celebration, born from raw suffering. Even the New Testament centers on the ex*****on of an innocent man and persecution of his followers. What we hold as sacred text was often written by people whose worlds had fallen apart—shaped not despite disaster and dysfunction, but because of it. The Bible is less a manual for avoiding hardship and more a testament to finding God within it.

🚀✨ Thank you for coming to our Dreamer's Launchpad open house! 🚀✨
The out-of-this-world NextGen Children's area hosts our Sunday School classrooms, a gathering space, playroom, and sensory room. 🎉 This Sunday, June 21st, will mark our first weekend in our new surroundings!
👽 Parents/Guardians, please make sure you accompany your child upstairs to the 3rd Floor before 10am worship to check them in. We'll have folks on hand to guide you through the process.
💙 Our Sunday School teachers, volunteers, contractors, and staff have worked hard to make this dream come true. This awesome renovation was only made possible by your very generous donations to our Capital Campaign. We're so grateful for this community and your support in creating a wonderful space for our children to learn, play, and grow! 🌱
📚 We offer three Sunday School classes at 10am: • Ages 4–1st Grade • 2nd & 3rd Grade • 4th & 5th Grade
🍼Children ages 3 and younger are welcome to join us in the nursery during 8:30 and 10am worship services.

❤️💚💛Today we honor Juneteenth — a day that marks freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward justice. June 19, 1865, brought the news of emancipation to enslaved people in Texas, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Let's remember the past, celebrate progress, and commit to the work still ahead.

Our youth group just returned from an incredible mission trip to Kansas City! 🙏✨

We spent four days at Central United Methodist Church, serving alongside Crosslines—a community organization providing meals, food assistance, and clothing to those experiencing poverty and homelessness. Our students jumped in with both hands, helping with meal and clothing distribution, neighborhood clean-up, and even visiting the camp of a church member transitioning from homelessness to housing.

Through it all, we learned what it truly means to be servants as Jesus was, and how God transforms us when we show up to serve. 💙

Of course, it wasn't all work! We also explored Kansas City—visiting the Money Museum, the WWI Museum, the zoo, and yes, even a rage room! 😄

We're so grateful for this experience and proud of our youth for their open hearts and servant spirits. Welcome home, team! 🏡

Message by Pastor Trevor: From Story to Scripture

Before writing, communities preserved beliefs and history through oral storytelling. These spoken traditions shaped identity and passed wisdom across generations. With the rise of writing, stories were recorded, transforming fluid oral tales into lasting texts. Many became sacred scriptures—such as the Bible—granting spiritual authority and permanence. Yet oral tradition endures, keeping written words alive through recitation and interpretation, linking ancient voices to living faith.
