❤️ "Do not let the past disturb you, just leave everything in the Sacred Heart and begin again with joy." — St. Teresa of Calcutta

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a feast of mercy, love, and new beginnings.

Whatever is weighing on your heart today, place it in His. His love is greater than your past, and His mercy makes all things new.

🌿 **Living Life Liturgically** 🌿

One of the beautiful gifts of our Catholic faith is that we don't simply celebrate the mysteries of Christ—we live them throughout the year.

Each season and feast day offers an opportunity to bring our faith into our homes and families, helping us become disciples not only on Sundays but every day.

❤️‍🔥Tommorow is: The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus** ❤️‍🔥

Celebrated on the Friday following Corpus Christi, this feast reminds us of the immense love and mercy Jesus has for each one of us. His Heart burns with love for humanity and invites us to draw near to Him.

Here are a few simple ways to celebrate:

🍔 Host a family "feast" night or summer cookout
🍪 Make Sacred Heart-shaped cookies
🎨 Invite children to decorate cookies or complete Sacred Heart coloring pages
🙏 Pray together before a Sacred Heart image
❤️ Entrust your family to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Living liturgically doesn't have to be complicated. Small traditions practiced faithfully can help build a Catholic culture in our homes and deepen our love for Christ.

🚶Wednesday Walk

At Father Jacob Hartman’s ordination, I was struck by a beautiful realization.

As he stood before the altar preparing to give his life in service, it looked much like a wedding. Then it hit me:

The bride is the Church. And that's us.

Every priest was once a young man standing before an altar, dedicating his life to Christ and His people.

The next time you attend Mass, take a moment to look at your priest and thank God for the gift of his vocation.

🎶 Monday Musical Motivation 💛

June is the month of weddings, and this week's song celebrates God's beautiful plan for marriage and covenant love.

But this reflection isn't just about marriage. After attending a priestly ordination this weekend, I found myself reflecting on the surprising similarities between the vocation of marriage and the vocation of the priesthood.

Both are lifelong covenants.
Both require sacrifice.
Both are rooted in love.

Read the full reflection on Substack and join me in considering what these vocations can teach us about God's love for His people. ✨

🍞✨ Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ – Sunday Scripture Challenge ✨🍷
One verse. One action. One step closer to Christ.

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever.”
— John 6:51

These words of Jesus leave little room for misunderstanding.

On this feast of Corpus Christi, we celebrate the astonishing truth that Jesus did not simply leave us a symbol or a memory. He gave us Himself.

In the Eucharist, Christ is truly present—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. Every Mass is an invitation to encounter the living God and receive the Bread of Life.

Yet familiarity can sometimes dull our wonder. We may approach the altar without fully recognizing the miracle before us.

Today's feast invites us to ask ourselves:

Do I truly believe that Jesus is present in the Eucharist?

Do I approach Holy Communion with the awe and gratitude this gift deserves?

This week's challenge:
🤍 Spend five minutes in thanksgiving after Communion
🤍 Visit Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration, if possible
🤍 Pray for a deeper faith in Christ's Real Presence in the Eucharist

💬 What helps you grow in your love and appreciation for the Eucharist?

🙏 Jesus, Bread of Life, increase our faith and draw us ever closer to You. Diocese of Jefferson City
