Riverwood Family is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Johnnie Mae Earl

Johnnie Earl, 95, of Jayess, Mississippi, peacefully entered her heavenly home on July 9,
2026. Born on August 28, 1930, in Jayess, Mississippi to Elmer and Hazel Wallace Boyd, she
lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the values of hard work and kindness.
Johnnie Mae was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose quiet
strength and generous heart touched everyone who knew her. Her unwavering faith was the
foundation of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and compassion that
will continue to inspire future generations,
She was preceded in death by her Husband Hezzie Barnett, sons Robert Earl and David
Glen Barnett, Parents Elmer Boyd and Hazel Wallace Boyd, and Sister Totsie Boyd McKenzie.
She is survived by her devoted son Joel Barnett, granddaughters Sonya Barnett Wilson
(Ken) and Rachael Barnett Collier (Shane). Great grandchildren Jessica Upton Chambliss
(Chase), Taylor Wilson Ellard (Josh), Trent Wilson (Alandra), Tanner Wilson (fiance Ava). Great
Great grandchildren David James Ellard, Kobe Chambliss, Beckham Wilson and expecting
Charlotte Ellard. Brothers Fred Boyd and Garland Boyd.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with
those who have gone before her and is resting in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
A celebration of life will be held at Calvary church on Tuesday July 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM,
visitation at 12:00 PM.
