Thursday, May 14, is the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, when we celebrate Christ's bodily ascension into heaven. Occurring 40 days after the resurrection, it marks the completion of the Paschal Mystery. The solemnity is a holy day of obligation, with Masses scheduled for this evening and tomorrow.
