WE’RE BACK TOMORROW NIGHT!

After having to postpone last week’s gathering, we are looking forward to being back together for Day 183 of The Bible Recap!

📖 Tomorrow’s Study: 2 Kings 1–4

This week’s message is especially powerful:

WHEN YOU CAN’T SEE GOD WORKING, TRUST THAT HE IS.

In 2 Kings 3, God’s people found themselves in a dry wilderness with no water and no visible answer. Yet God promised to provide even though they would see neither wind nor rain.

Sometimes that’s exactly where faith meets us.

We can’t see the answer yet.
We can’t see how God is going to make a way.
We can’t see what He’s doing behind the scenes.

But we can still trust the One who promised.

We’ll also follow the transition from Elijah to Elisha, Elisha’s bold request for a double portion, and the incredible ways God provides in 2 Kings 4 — from armies in desperate need to a widow with almost nothing left.

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE — TONIGHT’S VETERANS WITH CHRIST MEETING

Due to illness, our Veterans With Christ – Walker County meeting scheduled for tonight, Thursday, August 27, has been CANCELLED.

We apologize for the late change and truly appreciate everyone’s understanding. Please keep those who are sick in your prayers. 🙏

Although we won’t be gathering in person tonight, we encourage everyone to keep moving forward in God’s Word at home. Our study is Day 176 of The Bible Recap:

📖 1 Kings 15
📖 2 Chronicles 13–16

One of the most important reminders from this study comes from 2 Chronicles 15:2:

“The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you…”

That message is especially fitting tonight. The meeting may be cancelled, but seeking God isn’t. Open your Bible, spend some time in prayer, read tonight’s passages, and ask God what He wants you to learn from them.

🇺🇸 TONIGHT IN JASPER — VETERANS WITH CHRIST 🇺🇸

Walker County veterans, active-duty service members, military families, caregivers, and supporters — there is a seat for you tonight.

Life teaches us to be strong. Military service teaches us to adapt, overcome, and accomplish the mission. But tonight’s Scripture reminds us of something even stronger:

We were never meant to fight every battle alone.

Tonight we’ll talk about being bold as a lion, receiving correction, confessing our failures, controlling anger, walking humbly, and escaping the trap of living for other people’s approval.

🔥 IS THERE A FIRE IN YOUR BONES? 🔥

“Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?” — Jeremiah 23:29 (NIV)

Some battles leave us tired. Some seasons harden our hearts. Some burdens feel like they’ve become part of who we are.

But God’s Word is still powerful.

🔥 It brings light into darkness.
🔥 It burns away lies and fear.
🔨 It breaks through walls we thought would never move.
🔨 It reaches places in us that nothing else can touch.

Whatever you are facing today, don’t underestimate what God can do through His Word. The same God who carried you through yesterday is already present in what you’re facing today.

Open your Bible. Pray. Stay in the fight. Trust Him.

The rock may look immovable—but God brought the hammer.
