Dr. Hannon Brings Hope-Filled Sermon Series for First Methodist

First Methodist Church of Jasper invites our church family and community to join us for a special two-week sermon series, “GREATER THINGS AHEAD,” with guest preacher Rev. Dr. Daniel Hannon on Sunday, June 7 and Sunday, June 14.
In seasons of uncertainty, God’s Word continues to remind us that God is faithful, present, and still at work among His people. This inspiring series is designed to encourage hearts, renew hope, and help our congregation look forward with confidence to the future God has prepared for First Methodist Church.

These messages will focus on God’s promises, His sustaining strength, and the belief that the best days of ministry can still be ahead when a church places its trust fully in Christ.
First Methodist Church—GOD IS NOT FINISHED & NEITHER ARE WE. Ours is a great future in the great plans of our eternal God. The Lord will have the final word for our church and that word is GOOD. Invite family and friends to worship on June 7 & 14.

This Memorial Day weekend, Pastor Dr. Daniel Hannon will bring a special message entitled “Lest We Forget” on Sunday, May 24, reminding us of the true meaning of Memorial Day and the sacred sacrifices that have shaped our nation. Just as Jesus Christ gave His life upon the cross for our salvation, countless brave men and women have laid down their lives in defense of the freedoms and values we cherish today. In a spirit of gratitude, remembrance, and faith, we will pause to honor those whose ultimate sacrifice made possible the liberties we enjoy as Americans, while giving thanks to God for the blessings of our great nation.

Fish Fry Fundraiser
Wednesday, May 20th from 11am to 2pm, we will host a fish fry at the Wesley Center. Cost is $10 a plate and will be prepared by Tim Berryman and The Catfish Crew. All proceeds will benefit FMC’s Little Blessings Mother’s Day Out program.

Thursday Night Thanks

Join us this Thursday, March 19th, for an early evening meal and devotional service. This event will be held weekly to inspire and uplift our spirits during the mid-week. Join us every Thursday as we meditate on all of God’s rich blessings in our lives and spend time expressing thankfulness.
SCHEDULE
4:45-5:15pm - Choir practice
5:00-5:45pm - Fellowship Dinner
6:00-6:50pm - Devotional Service

The choir will meet for a 30-minute practice time. If you have ever been interested in singing with a choir, this is a great opportunity to give it a try.

A meal service is offered at a cost of $10 for ages 12 & up, $5 for ages 11 & under. The devotional time will include lots of music, singing, a 10-minute devotional and time at the altar.
