Today, New Beginnings wants to take a moment to say THANK YOU to our missionaries!

We are so thankful for Chelsea, Wendy, the Kirchbaums, and the other missionaries we are blessed to support whose names cannot be shared because of the areas God has called them to serve.

We are grateful for the calling God has placed on each of your lives, for your willingness to say yes, and for the places you are willing to go so that others can know Jesus. Whether serving here in the United States or traveling across the world, we are honored to pray for you, support you, and partner with you.

Check out this short video from Benin, Africa, where one of our missionaries recently returned from serving. New Beginnings was blessed to help provide the remaining funds needed to complete a church plant on a floating island! What an incredible reminder that when we give to missions, we get to be a part of taking the Gospel to places many of us may never physically go.

To each of our missionaries, thank you for answering the call. Thank you for going. Thank you for serving. We love you, we pray for you, and we are so thankful for you! 🌎

HELP US SUPPORT THE NUNLEY FAMILY 🤍

Church family, friends and community, we have an opportunity to come alongside Aubree Paige and Jerry Nunley as they unexpectedly step into something that could forever change the life of a precious newborn baby.

Due to circumstances completely outside of their control, Aubree and Jerry are currently pursuing legal custody of a 3-day-old baby in their family so they can provide her with a safe, stable, loving home.

This was not something they had time to plan or prepare financially for, but when there was a need, they were willing to say yes.

They are currently working with an attorney to begin the custody process, and legal expenses are estimated to be between $3,500–$5,000.

We would love to help carry some of that burden for them. If you feel led to give, every dollar donated will go toward attorney fees and legal expenses associated with obtaining custody of this precious baby.

If you aren’t able to give, you can still be a huge part of this by praying. Pray for this sweet baby. Pray for Aubree and Jerry. Pray for wisdom and favor throughout the legal process. And pray that in the middle of a heartbreaking situation, the Lord would bring redemption, protection, and a beautiful new beginning.

Sometimes being the hands and feet of Jesus simply looks like helping someone else say yes when God places a need right in front of them.

New Beginnings family, we are so excited for you to meet our Preschool Leader, Shelby Kirkendoll! 🤍

Shelby has such a heart for children and for helping them know and experience the love of Jesus, and we are so thankful to have her stepping into this role under the leadership of Ashley Chambers.

Take a minute to read her story below and get to know a little more about her. Then help us show Shelby just how excited we are to have her serving our preschoolers each week!

Note from Shelby:
Hi! My name is Shelby, and I am incredibly honored to be a part of the preschool ministry here at New Beginnings.

I have lived in Jasper my entire life and have been a part of NBC since I was a child, so being able to now serve in the church that has been such a meaningful part of my life is truly special to me.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have a sweet three-year-old daughter. Being a mom has given me an even greater love and appreciation for the importance of pouring into our children and helping them grow in their faith from an early age.

I have been a nurse for the past four years, beginning my nursing career as a pediatric RN. Caring for children and supporting their families has always been a true passion of mine, and I have loved having the opportunity to care for and connect with children throughout my career.

I truly believe the Lord has called me to this ministry and given me a heart for sharing His Word with children. My hope is to create a classroom where children feel loved, safe, and excited to learn about Jesus. A place where they can learn, play, explore, ask questions, and begin building a foundation of faith that will stay with them as they grow.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the children and families of NBC, and I am so excited to work alongside Ashley as we pour into this next generation. It is such an honor to be a small part of what God is doing through this ministry, and I cannot wait to see all that He has in store!

Psalm 78:4 “We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength and his wonderful works that he has done.”

It’s going to be a beautiful morning! ☀️

Join us at 9 AM at Shellmound Park for worship, a quick encouraging word, and BAPTISMS! 💙 We are so excited to celebrate what God is doing in the lives of those taking this next step!

We will have four large tents for shade and plenty of water available. You are also more than welcome to bring your own tent, cooling rag, fan, please bring a chair and lunch if you’re planning to stay after service.

Our Missions Team will be serving lunch, and all proceeds will go toward missions! 🌎

We know it’s going to be hot, and we absolutely do not want anyone getting overheated. Our goal is to have service completed by 10:30 AM, but we completely understand if the heat is too much for you. Please take care of yourself and your family!

It’s going to be such a special morning together. We can’t wait to worship and celebrate with you! 🙌

🎶 “Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” — Psalm 33:3

Today, we want to honor our incredible Music Ministry Team! Each week, they faithfully use their God-given gifts through singing, instruments, sound, and media to turn our hearts toward Jesus and lead us into worship.

What we experience during a service represents time spent in prayer, preparation, rehearsals, and personal sacrifice. Their ministry begins long before the first song and continues well after the final prayer. This is especially true during events and special services when they arrive early to set up equipment and stay late to tear everything down.

Whether serving on the platform, in the sound booth, behind a camera or computer, attending rehearsals, carrying equipment, running cables, or preparing the stage, every person plays an important part.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others…” — 1 Peter 4:10

Thank you for using your time and talents to glorify God and serve His church. Your ministry matters, your sacrifice is seen, and your faithfulness is deeply appreciated. We thank God for each of you!
